Unhappy Joe Leaving KMS

Fellow car guys and gals,

Due to changing family circumstances I regret that today is my last day at Kirkham Motorsports.

I have really loved my job here. How many jobs out there allow you to talk and work with really cool car people day in and day out? I have been able to meet racing heros, drive flat out on a track in the coolest cars ever made, attend shows, and most importantly help people build their dream cars. As far as employment goes, it doesn't get much better than that.

I am going to really miss working with Dave, Thomas, Mary and the rest of the crew here at KMS. Because of my position I have been lucky enough to see behind the scenes and I know how dedicated KMS is to their customers. The late nights, weekends etc... to make sure that customers are taken care of. I don't think that any other company in this business takes better care of customers and I don't think any other company builds a better car. There may be some bias in that statement but I wouldn't say it if I didn't believe it.

I am sure that I will be stopping by the shop from time to time and hopefully helping out with future track and other events. I will also be visiting Club Cobra and the other forums to stay in touch.

Best of luck to Kirkham Motorsports in the future. I don't look at the Kirkham family only as employers, they are also my friends. Thanks to the many customers who I have been lucky enough to deal with. I consider you friends as well.

Happy Motoring!

Sorry to see Joe moving on! We will miss him around here. I am sure you will all be able to see him at our future events as he has this in his blood and he can't find a cure (other than to be around them more and more).

Bummer day,

David

Thumbs up

Say it ain't so, Joe!!

Joe, I can't say how sorry I am to hear that you're moving on. I understand that circumstances change, but I'll certainly miss seeing you at the events, and appreciate your efforts to keep in touch.

For those of you who don't know, Joe is the one who came over to me at the 2007 BASH when he saw the dent in my car. I didn't ask him, he asked me if he (OK,.. if Sandwich) could fix the dent. He then arranged to have the tools overnighted to Reno from Orem to take care of the work. He never asked for, and even refused payment. By the time I got out of bed the next morning, Dave (Sandwich) already had the dent out, and was filing the body smooth.

Ever since, Joe has made a point to contact me personally about upcoming Kirkham events, and has asked if there was anything that my car needed....ie, have I dented it again? Anyway, Joe has done a great job at representing Kirkham, and will surely be difficult to replace.

Joe, if you are ever in Northern California, you're welcome to stay in our guest room anytime. Hope to see you again in the future.

I'm not sure if I would have bought a Kirkham without you, Joe. I'm bummed. I wish you the best of luck in your new endeavor. The next guy or gal, assuming they decide to replace, will have big shoes to fill.

Just want to jump in here on the "we love Joe" bandwagon.

Joe, it was a pleasure to do business with you and everyone down at Kirkham Motorsports. My Cobra has FAR exceeded my expectations by 1000%, or more. Thank you for your assistance during the build of my roller and beyond. I have no doubt that you will be sorely missed by all involved.

Best of luck in your new endeavor!

Sincerely,

Len

Joe, Rich Lacy here. Sorry to hear you are leaving Kirkhams. You are pretty much in the same situation as I was when I decided to stop delivering cars to all the neat car people/nuts out there. I miss the Kirkhams and side with you that they build the best car on the market! I really miss not delivering dreams to the guys and gals who make this hobby work and be fun for the rest of us. Like the old adage "The only sure thing in life is change" Good luck and hope our paths cross in the future. Your friend, Rich Lacy
