Land Shark

Someone just point me to the Lounge and I'll provide the Land Shark Lager. This is starting to be an issue with us car guys, the cap and trade will affect anything that uses fuel or any other energy.

big-boss 02-28-2009 04:47 PM

You guys think this Federal spending sucks? You think your tax dollars shouldn't be spent to keep some dumb azzz in the house he can't aford? You walk a mile in Jamo & mines shoes we live live in communist red California and we won't have water after March for some fricken dumb azzz fish ( liberal politicion). Thanks David for starting this venting/ action thread.
It almost time for all us good old boys to put the Snap-Ons down and show everybody who is paying the bills around here.

sdfletch 02-28-2009 05:39 PM

David,

Thank you. My opinion is still that this thread was ill advised and was "a full blown political thread" from the start. It has no place on a car site.

FIA Mike 02-28-2009 06:36 PM

David and Tom,

I salute you both. I fully support your stance and wish you success.

Thanks, FIA Mike

David, I'm there if I can drive my cobra there, even though I'm an Obama supporter

Stay off all political threads or you're gone. Period.

Jamo,

Your comments are out of line, Sir. Mod take note.

Jamo 03-01-2009 01:05 PM

Oops...bye bye. Warned you elsewhere.

I admire your enthusiasm, but as a Viet Vet, I'll have to pass....protests give me a rash.

sdfletch 03-01-2009 01:07 PM

Do you own the site, Sir?

Jamo 03-01-2009 01:31 PM

Hehehe...no, but I drove by a Holiday Inn yesterday. Have a nice week, and mind your manners when (and if) you return. :p

sdfletch, true this is an enthusiast site for Cobra owners or lovers, but aside from our beloved car hobby, we all live in this world together & our continued freedoms & opportunities to continue this hobby are in grave jeopardy. It's also true that we can go to Yahoo or some other distant blog that allows any kind of topics to be aired, complete without moderation. Those are total fiascos filled with death threats & profanity - they are useless & disturbing.

I find sites like this & a few others, the only places I read & discuss politics because we are a relatively small family & I feel it is worthwhile to come here & hear peoples' opinions & also voice them - we are all united by our mutual love for the car hobby. There's no sense sugar-coating things these days.

David K., I totally applaud you & your effort to do more than be just an armchair quarterback like so many of us are in today's society. We need more Americans to stand-up & say: "I'm mad as he!! & I'm not going to take it anymore!" What's going on in Washington is nothing more than a nightmare come true - a Twilight Zone episode come alive. We DO need to do something about it or else we will all be in serious trouble. I've never been to any kind of political rally or demonstration before, but if a "Tea Party" comes to Lansing, MI. our capitol, I'll be there along with thousands of others if I can help it. Why? Because I'm mad as he!! & I'm not going to take it anymore!

How's that for change we all tried to believe in?

HI Cobra 03-01-2009 04:02 PM

Thanks Jamo.

acindrich 03-01-2009 08:45 PM

Dave,

Make sure you drive as many cobras there as possible. I mean, hey, it'd be great advertising.

By the way, how's my stimulus package coming? It just needs an interior and a roof right?

Hey, this is a purely political thread... :D

Uhhhh, you're going to need a motor unless you plan on towing it with your Honda!

I'm actually swapping out the Civic motor for now. There will be 87 ponies pushing the beast. Can you guys machine a set of motormounts for a Civic 4 banger? I'll need them by Thursday...

David Kirkham 03-02-2009 08:14 AM

We can billet them out...no problem. But, can we at least finish your new CV axles first?

David

God bless you David, go for it. I too will be there in spirit. We have to stop this insane runaway spending train. Im convinced this country has lost its mind. I really get ticked when I keep hearing stories about people who have just stopped paying the house note and will now be looking for a bailout. Lowlifes.

jhv48 03-02-2009 11:06 AM

The wife and I are driving into SLC on Sunday for the week (to ski) but would have been there with you if we had known earlier and could change our plans.

Someone needs to stand up for the taxpayer. Kudos, Kirhhams!

It's nice to finally see the people that pay the taxes standing up and being heard. I'm so tired of this "political correctness". Hope you get the media attention you deserve.
