To date I've gotten 6 email invitations, haven't decided which one?. This is a good thing well worth promoting.

Dave thanks for bringing this up here, and I will be checking to see if there is any planed event here in Calif.

I really get ticked when I keep hearing stories about people who have just stopped paying the house note and will now be looking for a bailout. Lowlifes.

One day the credit card statement will inevitably arrive in the mail an the interest just shock us

Sadly, the statement already arrived for far too many small businesses in our country.

Someone needs to stand up for the taxpayer. Kudos, Kirkhams!

It's nice to finally see the people that pay the taxes standing up and being heard. I'm so tired of this "political correctness". Hope you get the media attention you deserve.

Sometimes things just happen so fast. When opportunity knocks, you must be ready to open the door--or someone else will do it ahead of you!

If you get a moment, stop on by!

Might I suggest all 6 of them?

If not, do what I did and throw one yourself!

I'm really sorry David to miss the Friday action... :( I fly home that day. Delta was less than helpful getting me onto a late Thursday flight. I'll be with you in spirit.

David Kirkham 03-02-2009 05:40 PM

Len,

No problem...we'll hook up at the next one.

Sorry to high jack this thread...but I thought some humor was needed :)

Three contractors are bidding to fix a broken fence at the White House. One is from Chicago , another is from Alabama , and the third is from Texas . All three go with a White House official to examine the fence. The Texas contractor takes out a tape measure and does some measuring, then works some figures with a pencil. "Well," he says, "I figure the job will run about $900: $400 for materials, $400 for my crew and $100 profit for me."

The Alabama contractor also does some measuring and figuring, then says, "I can do this job for $700: $300 for materials, $300 for my crew and $100 profit for me."

The Chicago contractor doesn't measure or figure, but leans over to the White House official and whispers, "$2,700."

The official, incredulous, says, "You didn't even measure like the other guys! How did you come up with such a high figure?"

The Chicago contractor whispers back, "$1000 for me, $1000 for you, and we hire the guy from Alabama to fix the fence."

"Done!", replies the government official.

And that, my friends, is how the new stimulus plan will work

Interesting counterpoint in this morning's Wall Street Journal...'

Jack,

I read the article. I think his argument is lacking. This is pretty grass-roots. I wouldn't expect too much professionalism--though, I imagine that will change as tax policy gets ever more intrusive.

I have an interview today on 630 AM at 4:00 MST! I guess we'll see what kind of an activist I really am.

A big storm just roared in and blew 630 AM off the air!

Bummer. They rescheduled me for tomorrow night.

Dave,

Good luck at the tea party tomorrow. I'd have been there if my stimulus package was ready.

Knock em' dead!

Gents,
To change the thread direction slightly, I would like to apologize on behalf of my British ancestry for provoking this 'Tea Party' activity in the first place! :D

David and Tom,

Well how did it go?
