Acindrich,
The easiest way is to click on the "forums" tab on the left top menu bar. Pick the the forum that you want to post in and you'll see "new thread" on the left side just above the existing list of threads.

Hmmphh, and I was told that you weren't allowed to post a new thread until you already had 3,000 posts.

We have polished and painted many Kirkhams and I prefer 100 times to polish than paint them, I think is easier.

Thanks. I appreciate it. I'm actually a rocket scientist but posting isn't rocket science so I'm a bit lost.

No problem. Last time they moved things around here, I was lost. Creature of habit.
BTW - At least when people say "It isn't rocket science", you can say "actually it is."

It makes the kirkham look like a 1990s viper..with that gray leather action..
It is an FE for sure but man what a mishmash of stuff. if it goes at 50K then a deal and you have enough money left to make it what you want to..
Also doesnt Kirkham make good guages >? --then why is the thing setup with autometers >? -- I mean --I LOVE (THUMP_THUMP) autometers, but if you go kirkham, ----go all the way.
the nerf-y wheel threw me too.

First, note that it was done in Florida...so good taste was not part of the build protocol.
Second...damn it David, when are you guys going to start checking the background of prospective buyers!?

I agree with Jamo - I think Kirkham needs to have an ownership application form and not an order form.

I know the car it was built by Rob at KCM in Plano, TX. I think its a big bore Shelby block...but is an aluminum shelby block. When you assemble a car for a customer you build it just like they want it.
I know what the interior and trunk cost in leather and I'll bet you the reserve is way way way above that 50 number. It is a beautiful car when you see it just didn't expect to see it for sale so soon after he got it....well you never know how the economy is hurting people.

Hmmm, it appears that the year long wait list has the effect of directing the riff-raff away from New Britain and straight in to Provo....

Jamo, you're going to need the electorate of Florida, a "swing" State, in order to be elected the next President of the US. I don't think you can win without South Florida.
Well, I tell ya what I've learned. We need even more high performance 15" tire choices.

The seller ended the auction early, because there was an error in the listing.

Oh, don't fret. I'm sure it will be back...very soon.
By the way, I had a feeling you would get your "Factory Five" remark recorded somewhere in this thread.

I bought this car on Friday (5/1)_. Will arrive around thursday. Interested to see what you guys think when i'm through with it. I think I got a great deal on it. Either way, it's getting a black stripe, 15" trigo's with goodyear billboards, wooden steering wheel. I am going to have it lowered as low as possible. Still undecided on the interior. I can either dye it black or remove some of it. Also going to put dual quads on it.
What do you guys think?? would that do the trick and get it to look look like a kirkham again?

Smart buy.
bwnuts,
congratulations. If you got a good deal on it, you could wind up way ahead with some simple changes to put your signature on it. I think what some here are referring to is it's too flashy for a Kirkham, and needs a little "raw recipe" added to it. My trick is sandpaper or machining to most anything that shines.
Just adding 15s with tires to fill the wheel wells a bit, and lowering it it tad is where i'd start on the outside. On the interior, yank the street rod door panels immediately, replace the front seats/recover them in black putting them back to a more orginal shape, and put black lower carpet in it as a start. That might break it up a little. The rest of it will start to fall into place and you'll then know what to replace from there.

The leather interior on that car in the trunk and drivers area was ALOT of money...I wouldn't rip it out..I would dye it if anything...its full leather...wish I could remember how much but well over $10 grand in cow hide

It is my understanding that Enzo used to have a similar policy for his cars. It must be true since I never owned one . I did pass the Fiat background check though.
