Yep, I have their clutch slave setup too. Sent the bellhousing to them for modification. Very nice and works great.

Jamo, did you ask them? I don't see why they can't. I sell the Quicktime bells for FE's and Toploaders as well. It looks like a simple upgrade.

My setup IS the setup for a toploader. Although I'll be using a TKO tranny, Kirkham cars require the Quicktime bellhousing for toploaders, even when using a TKO. So you should be good to go if you choose to go in this direction with your car.

Phil...thanks, but KMP 184's Lakewood came from, and was modified by, Kirkham about six years ago, so your comment about them requiring Quicktimes might be a little, shall we say, overstated.
On the other hand, it's good to hear they are making the forks and other pieces for toploaders...hopefully they will work on a Lakewood (can't see why they wouldn't unless the mounting for the fork is different). Last time I asked David...they weren't doing them.
I'll call David tomorrow, or maybe I'll just hold a sign asking where the heck the forks for toploaders (for Lakewoods) I asked for a few years ago (about the time I got them off the internal slaves) are at the next tea party.

Jamo, I didn't mean to suggest that KMP cars can't use Lakewood housings. That would be silly. What I meant to convey (and obviously didn't) is that should one choose to use a QT housing in a KMP car, one should purchase the QT housing for toploaders, whether one is using a TKO box or a toploader. Per KMPs website. Sorry for the confusion.

Why didn't you guys grind out the bellhousing yourselves? Took me about 15 in with the diegrinder. Kirkhams guys told me how much. Did I miss some complecation?

The Kmp clutch fork assembly for the TKO works on the Toploader with some minor tweaks. I've spoken to Thomas about the changes that were made to mine and it has worked like a champ.
Interestingly enough, I spoke to Thomas recently and asked him why they hadn't made them available yet. He said that there really wasn't any interest/demand.
Best of luck and feel free to tell David/Thomas that mine is working just fine.

I developed this slave & fork kit many years ago. Kirkham bought 3 of them 2 years ago with hopes of selling them a nice product I have. Kirkham proceeded to modify it a little and here it is.....
I sure would have liked if Kirkham was a dealer for me and not a competitor with a NICE new product...
I do offer it for Chevrolet, all Fords on Quick Time, Lakewood & McLeod bellhousings along with OEM bellhousings too.

3170, I think that is the non-SFI version as it has the small lip on the bottom. I believe any cutting on there will void the SFI cert.
I'm on my second quicktime housing and billet slave setup from Forte and they work beautifully without enlarging the hole.

My original belief was just confirmed...KMP does not make the fork for toploaders except as they modified it for Scott. The bellhousing obviously has little to do with it (except for mounting alternatives for different styles or modifications needed for clearance)...it's all in the bearing design.
In any event, I've been assured that a setup will be modified for oversized Armenian left legs.
