What is the favorite Brand and $ of the FE motor mounts for the Kirkham 427s with the FE motor>?

Kirkham produce their own mounts, which I suspect is what the majority of owners use.

Our billet FE motor mounts are $295. (They come with the purchase of a roller.)
We make them in 2 pieces which makes it much easier to install the motor. Just line up the bolts in the holes and drop in the motor. They are also designed so they can not "break" and have the motor torque over and slam the side pipes into the body...no fun on the original cars. We have a cross bolt going all the way through them to prevent such mishaps.
We use urethane bushings to keep the vibrations down.

I've always thought these mounts from Total Control Products looked pretty cool They're $229 for the FE and a replacement bushing set is $39. http://www.totalcontrolproducts.com/motormounts.html

Engine mounts
David,
Do your mounts have the same dimension frame to top mount surface as original FE mounts? Cris from Kinetics told me that you guys mount your engines a little higher than originals, do you accomplish that at the frame cradle or the mount? You have a very well designed part that I would be interested in installing if the dimensions are identical to original mounts.

The STOCK mounts for a FE cobra were they 1958-59 TBird FE mount. -- they work if you cross bolt them. The kirkham mount is an interesting upgrade and if you are in the car that far, the cost should not really be a concern.

We drill a hole through the original style mounts so if the vulcanization come apart the motor mount will not separate.
Eventually, we just started to billet the mounts with a cross bolt designed right into the part.

The original part number is: C1MM-6038-C
I believe this came from a 1961 Mercury Marauder.
Note that the NAPA (Anchor, and Buffalo) replacement part does NOT have the same off set.

The Anchor product is also the victim of a short bolt to the frame as well.
there is a repro thud mount that seems to work, but it is in short supply.
if you are that far down the road, the K mount is a nice upgrade!
