Billet Aluminum Intake Manifold Conversion For a GTO
Gents:
Here is a little eye candy for you. We had a customer who made a GTO replica and needed some special intake manifolds made. This beauty allows you to use 6 of the 250 GTE carbs so it looks like a GTO motor. We made this from a solid block of aluminum.

We designed the part in Solidworks and then filled in between the carbs and the motor. We made the intake look as much like an original type casting as possible.
A couple of more views for you all.

We constrained the tool paths to cut across the inside of the runner. This leaves little cutter ridges which help to break up and mix the fuel and air. We also designed the intake in CAD to have a constant area taper.

We're talking Pontiac GTO, right?
One lucky (rich) Ferrari owner.

David,
Very nice! Attention to detail and perfection is always worth a look. I especially liked the tooling marks in the ports.
You Pontiac guys will be disappointed with these photos http://www.carclassic.com/stock.asp?StockID=103638
