Your car is great !. The few that I saw from the run in Vegas were good, but didn't show me as much.
What size rims/ tires are they ?. After the WSCB event,, i'll be looking for tires. I haven't made my mind on what to do for sure yet. I'd like to get some 17" rims and tires, but I like the

Sorry about that !. Power failure, thats what happens when you live in the country.
I have 26" Indies all the way around now, ther's not a lot of traction, but I don't know what to compaire it to. I weigh out at 1842" with 2 gallons of gas, 625 HP, The way that it is now,, I haven't found a way to connect to the ground. I've been told that the Good Year Eagles will be the best out there for traction. I like the "fat" look.
You can see my car if you go to www.pismoderelicts.com.
Once you get there look at the left side of the screen and double click onto "photos". You'll see "06 Picts". Once you're there double click onto the red box #33.
There you'll see the white cobra, the handsome guy ,,, is me.
I need to get out there and get in some fire wood and make a fire. See ya later.

On the street I run Goodyear Eagle F1's, on the track I run Kumo V710's. Front's are 275/40/17 on 9" rims and the rears are 315/35/17 on 10.5" rims. Just make sure everything clears the brakes, fenders, wheel wells, etc.

Howard, you'll never get all that HP to the ground with a car this light and this short a wheelbase. At least with any type of street tire. You might also look at the Michelin Pilots. I've had some guys tell me they stick good enough to use as a track tire. The Kumos should work great on the track if your looking to go to 17" wheels.
For a more vintage look several guys here use the Goodyear big lettered slicks.
Chuck Robertson says:

There is nothing that beats the look of the big letter Goodyears on a Cobra. However, if your building your car for something more than just looking at it, there are better choices. The Goodyears are at there best when at the track or at car shows. I will have to admitt that the car might see the local Starbucks but that is only a couple of blocks away. They are not built for day to day usage, they loose air over a short period of time, they flat spot easilly, they get out of round if the car sits for any length of time and they pick up every stone, pebble or whatever and thrash your paint job in no time at all, other than that there great.
On the track it's another story. When there hot they stick like glue. You can, however, over drive the tire and when these things break loose there is no coming back. They are not forgiving like some of the 17" track tires that are around.
My setup is pretty standard, three link, SN95 rear end, VPM swaybars, PRO shocks and Team III or Diamond Racing Wheels, I don't go to the track without two sets of tires.

By the way the pictures of the car look great. I look forward to seeing it at WSCB.

I haven't thought about geting it on the track yet, I know,,sooner or later I will take it to Sonoma or Laguna to see what it'll do. It would be nice to know its limits.
This is why I love this site. There are people like you who ar more than willing to talk about what has been proven before, and what they have learned from the past.
It's going to be hard to talk the wife into another grand on tires for the car just to sit around part of the year. Have you any openions on a groved slick ?. I have been of the site that you mentioned. They have a lot of good tires there. I just spent $130,000 for a car that I told her was "perfect". I guess that these cars are never done are they.
