If you are on the fence, trying to decide whether to go to LCS or not, I'd highly recommend it. I've been every year but one, when I was hospitalized. (Unreasonable surgeon-clearly not a car guy) I've always enjoyed the weekend.

Is it better to stay in London or Columbus for this event?
Thanks!

Fritz, No doubt...stay in Columbus at or near the event hotel ( Holiday Inn Express, see LCS web site). That is where 90% of the social stuff occurs. Enjoy!!!

Nice! Thanks JWilly! I'm looking forward to seeing the cars! I need to find a paint color for mine...

Does anyone have suggestions for someone going for the first time...or can I pretty much do everything possible anyway?

Much appreciated.
If you have a well-fitting snap-on tonneau, it will at least keep the rain out of the car, and won't mess anything up....
At least that has been my experience.

No...unfortunately...I am changing the steering column and pedals currently, and I won't likely be done in time.

You can tag along one of the cruises on Friday, or better yet, there's almost always someone with an empty passenger seat.

Friday night hang out and socialize at the hotels and the big tent.

Again on Sat morning, try to find someone with an empty seat for the parade into London. Enjoy the show in London, then come back to the big tent for the dinner and charity auction on Sat night.

the host hotel is the Holiday Inn.

You need to get a room in one of the five or six hotels aroung the Holiday Inn.

Everything starts and stops there

I'm booked at the Holiday Inn! Looking forward to meeting some of you and seeing your beautiful, complete cars! Really hoping someone has a paint color that I like so I can finally get that out of the way and done...

I will be there as I only live and hour away. I could be persuaded to take a rider on the cruises if necessary. Feel free to message me.

There are 142 cars signed up now. Not so light IMO.

Smile hotel rooms

I will call Monday 6/16/14 and release 5 rooms at the Holiday Inn. Four double queens and one king room.
If you call for a room tell them you are with the Ohio Cobra Club / London Cobra Show.

Unhappy

Dwight,
I want to let you and the Alabama boys know that I won't be attending LCS this year. I have some health issues to deal with. I've been waiting for an appointment at the VA for several months. I was notified Friday by FEDEX mail that my appointment is The Friday of LCS. I can't afford to miss this appointment. So sorry guys as I was all ready to go and I looked so forward to seeing everyone. Y'all have a great time.

Hersh

Sorry to hear about your health problem

We'll just pass around the little jug we got for you.
Next year we'll get you another one.

I elected not to go, because the forecast is rain starting tonight through Sunday. I have never been, however with an open trailer and no top is not ideal for me. I plan to get a top installed this year, so I'll see you guys next year..
Enjoy!!!!

That was definitely worth the trip to Ohio...way beyond what I expected! It really makes me want to get done with my car now. And thanks to all who took the time to discuss their cars with me!
