Road Trip to London Cobra Show
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I posted this over with the Kentucky Cobra Club but any and all nut cases are welcome.
My son and I are going to attending the LCS and are planning on driving 'BUFORD' back to the show from Southern Idaho.
Any other nut cases out there?
Road trip!
We are planning on departing Twin Falls area on the 19th or 20th and plan a 3day east bound trip with the west bound starting on the Sunday afternoon the 28th.
We are stopping in Western KY to visit friends deliver my Dads ashes to his home town of Hopkinsville.
Come on, who else is nuts enough?

A pack of us are coming in from Indiana. LCS is well worth the drive.

Not nuts. A great adventure. I've driven MI, CO, MT and home on two occasions and MI, CO home once. Good preparation makes it easy. Not worrying if you get wet helps, just run about 80+ and the water goes over the cockpit.
I'm guessing you'll run I-80 for a good ways which works well. At some point before the Chicago area I'd get south to I-70 through Indianapolis and then into Columbus.
Enjoy the ride. I hope to be at LCS with or without a Cobra.

John, hope you found someone for the road trip, 39 days and counting. Hotels are filling up. Mid Ohio rate for the track event June 23 is still $325, price may change soon.
Speakers will be announced next week . Auto cross moved to Friday.
See you at London!!

Mr 56, nope, no takers as to caravanning. At the moment hotel is booked, has been for a long time, route is planned, going to meet up with Kentucky Coba Club members in Louisville and travel up with them. Louisville is home town for me.Got my Dad's ashes ready to go, taking him home to his home town of Hopkinsville, KY so Yep, all ready to go!
BUT.
At this moment there is no motor or tranny in the car, no pedal (redoing them), not a lick of wiring in the car and I have 2 bent axle shafts. and need new tires.
The motor was pulled due to too many little things we found wrong and decided to go through it as a insurance policy. The wiring was pulled because it was a rats nest looking for a short to irrupt in flames. And the axcle shafts are, well, a mystery as to how they got bent. I'm second owner and the car was built in 2004, late.
So, Yep I'm ready to go. How many days in counting????????????????????
We will be there.
Reminds me of the line in the very first movie I saw, John Wayne's McLintock.
