LCS tops 200
It is my understanding that there are now over 200 cars paid for, and registered for the London Cobra Show this year! Based on previous years, we could see that swell by over 50% by the time we roll into London!
One month from today, we begin.
Space is still available for the Mid-Ohio event but the hotels will be released at the end of the week. DON'T WAIT!!
Got to run, we have lots of work to do

I am so proud -- my old beater is No. 6 on the list. Keep up the good work.

Nope, I would not bet against 300. Vendors are starting to come out of the wood work as well. There will be some new ones that have never been in London before! And of course, some of our old favorites.
Did you sign up with Mid-Ohio? We had a meeting with one of our instructors last night, Tommy Byrne (Formula 1 starts!) and we all feel much more excited about Mid-Ohio. Even rookies like me. I will post some more information later.

Can't get the time for Mid-Ohio.
Offered to have my son go, but he can't seem to get the time either.
I hope you're going to let me know how the event was.

Do you have a tow truck on retainer??? Me thinks that break downs or Margarita problems will become an issue here. Perhaps a shuttle service with a Carroll Shelby look alike as the driver for sport.

We have a towing company lined up every year and there contact information will be in the package you get at registration. If I recall correctly, it is this one:
1st Choice Towing (100 mile radius): (614) 771-6343 (be sure and tell them you are with the London Cobra Show)
Often what I see happen is one of the other folks in the event picks up the car.

I just got of the phone with 1st Choice, they are indeed the ones you want to call if you break down. They know our cars well so you should be in good hands! They are also a AAA provider so if you are with AAA, you can go straight to them and you will be taken care of.
The intent right now is that every one that has registered will get an email of the registration package before you leave home so you will have that information with you while you are on the road!

Thanks for the information. I traded my newer P/U on the Stang, and I was worried about the old burb as my tow vehicle. Some buddies just put 3000 miles on it out west Pararie dog hunting - should be OK. I drove 60 miles to and from a show this weekend in the beater -- all back roads. Nothing loosened up - I think we are ready for London. DLamp was there w/ his ERA -- there goes my shot at a trophy. sniff.

Not a problem!
I don't recall if you have been to London before but you have no worries in the trophy department... we don't give any! I know the word 'Show' is in the title but that is not really what it is about. The event is totally non-competitive... no best paint, fastest car, most original, etc. It is all about all of us getting together and having a great time enjoying the one thing we all have in common. We get out and enjoy the cars and don't stay parked in one place for long!
Just 24 more days...... can you beleive it!

We came to Columbus last year without the car and enjoyed ourselves --- made a reservation as we left town for this year. I know you do not "judge" --- I meant that having an ERA at a small rural show last weekend killed any chance for my car to "place" for anything as a special interest car. My choice of verbs was confusing. Looking forward to the parade into town at London.

London
Are there going to be shirts made up that says "100 MPH club" ? If so, these shirts could be given out to anyone that surpasses the 100 mph mark on the radar going down Main st. in London.

I don't know about those shirts but for those who registered during the free t-shirt offer, they will be getting a limited edition shirt that ONLY they will have! These shirts will not be available to any one else. Can't wait to get mine

The t-shirt guy, Bob Brandl, and I thought it was a pretty cool one. Early registration is a big help for us and just for helping us out, you get something that no one else has or can get!

Accuweather 15 day forecast for Columbus says warm and partly cloudy -- 91 degrees. Hope springs yet eternal.
