From what I just heard, only the Days Inn has rooms. We will talk to the other two hotels located accross the street but if you want to stay near the main group, I would grab what you can! If you find another, you can always cancel.

Rich, are these motels full from LCS folks, or other customers ? seems strange rooms are so hard to get this year at this time.
I had heard the Best Value (formerly Cross Country ) has a contract with a trucking company who has a large section of rooms blocked off ( maybe during the week and not on the weekend, dunno ) . But they told me ' no room' a couple of mos ago. Or , have some folks BLOCKED OFF a large number of rooms that may or may not become available in the future ?
if it is due to increased LCS attendance, GREAT . if it is someone playing games, hmmmmmmmmm. as stated, the math is fuzzy : booked rooms vs LCS enrollments to date . Bill.

The trucking company is out of there Thursday evening so their rooms where available over the weekend. Some folks do block off rooms and yes, they may or may not become available. They usually do this a year in advance. I would recommend take what you can get and keep your ear to the ground for a more favorable opening.

No games that I am aware of. We talk to the hotels on a fairly regular basis and every thing seems as usual, except that more hotel rooms are taken earlier then ever. This does appear to be because attendance is expected to be at record setting levels. We are having to re-arrange things in London so we have room!
Pay no, or at least little, attention to the number of cars registered versus the number of rooms book. This is common. Over the past six or seven years, I see this all the time. There are the I am going to be there come 'he!! or high water' folks. These are the ones that are usually registered well in advance. There are the 'I will wait and see kind of folks'. They may be waiting to see if they can get the car done, get the time off, if their buddy can go and even some that wait to the very last minute because of the weather. Attendance was down from what we originally thought simply because of the rain last year on Friday! Heck, some people we never even knew where coming at all just showed up and registered!
I look at the two numbers, the number registered and the number of rooms booked using LCS. One I look at as a max, the other a minimum. The actual number is always something in between, nearer the max number.
How many cars this year? Who knows. Depends on a lot of the stuff listed above. To early to tell really but the early indications are that it will be HUGE.

The last time I checked with the Hampton Inn, the GM told me it was booked mostly by LCS folks. No one blocked rooms. The Best Value Inn was booked by the trucking company and only available to LCS'ers Fri & Sat but also was full. Super 8 Is also booked but I'm not sure by who. Last year they had a group of baseball teams in residence. New kid on the block-Days Inn-rooms are available. They're just around the corner from the Hampton Inn. We're going across the street to check out some other hotels.

Joe,
I stayed there last year, and it was fine - very similar to the Hampton's accomodations.
It was a very short walk to the other hotels - 100 yards at most to the Hampton, and anoher 100 yards to the other two hotels and the Saturday tent in the field venue.
Only about a half dozen Cobras were staying at the Days Inn last year. Sounds like a lot more will be there this year.
Cheers!
Dave

To my knowledge, the three main hotels are completely full, only the Days Inn has a couple of rooms left. There are two other hotels (NOT the red roof nor Motel 6 listed) that will be put on our site before to long.
If you don't have a room, book the Days Inn. You can always cancel if you luck out and get the one you want.
Book a year in advance!

Room at Super 8 available
I originally had two rooms reserved but my family isn't going to join me now so I need to cancel one. If anyone wants to arrange a time to call one after the other so you can get the room, let me know.

Sorry to go off at a complete tangent here guys, but every night when I look at the forum, the title of this thread keeps catching my attention in a disturbing sort of way...ROFL...
As a former Londoner (in the US 27 years now, citizenship 15 years ago), the use of the word 'Hampton' is somewhat amusing. For those of you NOT familiar with 'Cockney Rhyming Slang', HAMPTON is rhyming slang for the male appendage, after a small village just west of London called Hampton WICK.
Work it out...LOL
Regards, and have fun staying at THE HAMPTON INN!!!!
