LCS 07 Schedule Info??
I am planning my trip to London for the first time, but as a spectator, my car isn't finished yet.
Having never been before, can anyone help me with the schedule and venue to figure out which day and location will allow me to view the cars, the vendors and the happenings.
I have been to the site but no information is given
thanks
Paul

someone from the OCC will most likely pop in here and clarify, but for the basic part of your question :
"Having never been before, can anyone help me with the schedule and venue to figure out which day and location will allow me to view the cars, the vendors and the happenings."
the simple answer is : SATURDAY ........whatever the final count is -most likely over 250 cars - will congregate about 20 mi west of Hilliard very early morning and traditionally travel as a group with police escort the few short miles to London OH. There they will be parked on several roads all together in the heart of the city . ALL vendors will be there, along with the cars . It is an unbelieveable sight, and you can look at the cars at your leisure from 9 am or so until mid afternoon , when folks start to head back to their hotels . Charity rides will be offered to show goers down Main St with police supervision, about a 1/8 mi burnout and drag run .
The hotels will have the cars parked outside, but some in trailers and some covered and more spread out than at the London festival . Best viewing and jawing is at the London venue . The motels will have parking lot parties every night with a big tent cookout event Sat night outside in a field adjacent to most of the motels being used .
I have not heard what their Fri DAY sched is yet, usually some local spots to travel to for early arrivals . Sunday is usually an autocross type event - again, OCC folks will have to step in here with what they have planned. Bill

Paul,
The norm in the past:
Cruises and things like that along with a gathering at the Steak and Lube on Friday.
Strawberry Festival in London and dinner/raffle drawing, etc. back at the hotels on Saturday.
AutoX on Sunday morning.
Things going on all the time. Lots of great people to hang out with and talk Cobras.
Cheers!
Dave

Paul, glad to hear you are going to make it. You will probably go home with so many ideas for your car that you may start over!
Saturday is the one day to see all the cars together. If you are going to be here for the whole event, there are normally open seats and most folks are willing to fill them for you to ride along at the various events. I can't promise that but I have yet to see some one come, look for a ride and not get one. This obviously does not go for the general public but you are not the general public!
The schedule is not up yet since it is not yet set in stone but there will be LOTS to do. Here are some of the current ideas on the agenda....
Friday, cruises to Hocking Hills, Air Force Museum, shop tours, etc. Then off to 'the Lube' and then a welcome party on Friday night. Saturday off to London for the day with a big catered party, live and silent auctions, guest speakers and of course, the raffle car drawing. Sunday, autocrossing PLUS some additional options similar to Friday for those who don't want to autocross (hence you could do one of the Friday options on Friday and another on Sunday).
The next question you will probably have is 'should I register'. The answer is probably. If you are going to be there all three days, stay at the event hotels, join in the private events (which most are), and want to be easily identified as 'one of us'.... then registration would be recommended. If you are just coming to London on Saturday... then admission is free!
Hope that helps

The basic schedule is on the website, with specifics given out at registration, there are several choices if you get in eary Friday, but most of the "tours" will leave in the morning, and end at QSL about 4;00 pm, then back to the hotels for live band silent auction and parties
She'll have fun for sure

I am going to ask this on this thread also.
What is the current plan for the raffle?
Are tickets being sold on Saturday?

OKay, so we are having dinner Friday night and an auction...cool.
What is being auctioned?? Wait...is Jay going to be there?
Then we have a dinner on Saturday and auction the car. Are we doing the "auction everything we can" after dinner Saturday?
This is more than last year. Sounds like we have a bigger event...great!
I'm not sure, but I think we also just donated to the OCC.

The schedule on the site is still more or less right: http://www.londoncobrashow.com/Defau...?pt=PLO1&pid=4
There have been some minor changes but don't worry about that, it will be in the package you get emailed and pick up at registration.
Friday night is party time. Freebies, silent auction, live music, BYOB and food from Rooster's Road Show (at your expense) http://www.roosterswings.com/roadshow/index.asp. AND is open to ALL friends and family.
Saturday night is more formal, only for paid registrants and their paid guests, more freebies, more silent auction, live auction with a professional auctioneer, buffet style dinner (two paid per registration if you need more go the Who's Going page on our site, log on and buy more) with lots of good stuff to eat, BYOB again, guest speaker(s), live video and stills from this year and prior and of course the drawing of the winning raffle ticket. Don't be tempted to leave early..... because at the end, we have a surprise for you!

punch up accuweather .com and columbus, Oh calls for sun and more sun and in the high 80-90 on Saturday th e23rd...............
Paul even though your car is not finished, suggest if you are coming all the way from MO that you register for the event and partake of all the activities, I'm sure there will be a few empty seats....that way you can get to see it all and meet all the folks ?
