How to lock the gas cap
Since we don't have a locking cap inside the Leman's style cap, is there a way to lock it to prevent tampering? I though I saw a thread somewhere where safety wire was used to prevent tampering, but it was easy to remove if you knew how to do it... Can't find that thread anywhere.

Thanks! I knew I had seen that before. I guess I didn't use the right words in the search function.

I have a locking cap under the Lemans cap. Can you not fit one under yours?

No, no gas cap under the Lemans, just a piece of rubber that presses on a round metal plate. Open the Lemans cap and you have an open tube.

The wire is a nice old school way to thwart tampering
John Bessey offers the ring tab which then allows use of a pad lock for those overnight situations.....

These guys sell a flange with a locking gas cap. You most likely can use your original cap with it: http://97.74.32.155/files/cap2.pdf

Add this then you can at least use pad lock or wire if you desire.
