registration - Long Island
Just picked up an Everett Morrison previously registered in Mass. I was told I need to get it safety checked and that they would most likely leave the Mass vin.
Question 1: Need to get the car weighed. Where can I have this done? Question 2: What are acceptable SAE markings for light? Live in Npt. Thanks |
Needs to be weighed and certificate received at any junk yard or recycler with a scale.

I used Kershow salvage. but any DOT certified scale will do, salvage yard, recyclers. Just call in advance.
As for the lights I used the ones from Finish line, they have DOT number right on them. HTH Bob S. |
Completed NYS Registration
Trailered my 1967 427 Cobra to the DMV theft unit in West Babylon - they verfied my Mass affixed VIN(2007 repli) and gave me a VIN verified form - proceeded to DMV and registered as 2007 Custom Conv.
Went to inspection station and helped tech walk through inspection: tires : passed,brakes : passed,horn : passed,directionals : passed,wipers(manual) : passed - no emissions check. SUCCESS! :) |
