Folks ..This is the Main Event of the evening in the Lebanon Dragway Arena !
A heavy weight bout sanctioned and governed by Northeast LICR rules.
Essentially that means THERE ARE NO RULES.

And.....Fighting out of the Lane 1 corner, wearing the "Z" Labeled Copper driving trunks, known as a Relentless Hard Hitting Fast Driving competitor
"Vito The Heart Stopper !!"

Fighting out of the Lane 2 corner, wearing the DYC Labeled Yellow trunks with "perfect" Symmetrical White Colored Stripes, known for his Heart Wrenching Hard Hitting Humor , representing the Jack Daniels Foundation is "Bill The I Want Your Freakin Pink Slip !"

This will be a 11-12 second event with a 3 knockdown rule AFTER the race. Final judging to be determined by the sanctioned LICR Trash Talk Commitee! The third man in the ring tonight will be none other than "God Himself" for this is truly a life or death fight for reputational impunity !!

The referree briefs the racers. "Vito ..do you know the rules we went over in your Copper dressing room?" "Yes...you say 1 ..then I GO on 2 !"
"Compy... do you know the rules we went over in the Yellow dressing room?" "Yes....You say 1. ..I flip Vito the finger to distract him then I GO !"

Very good then....You racers make it (ahem) fair and may the best man drink free. Ding-Ding !!!

Oh Charley,- We don't talk about the CXS. It is in recovery and expected to live. Bad things happen when you don't have traction controll.

Can't make me nervous, I have nothing to lose. Junky little home made Classic roadster against corporate giant GM Z06. I lose by a little it is still a win.

And Dr V. listen I don't want you to find out there is no Santa Claus on the street either but Jaguar is a foreign car too.

Comp,
Almighty forbid you should get shortness of breath or chest pains, I'm sure the Doc will give you mouth-to-ear resuscitation.

Default The KING

The 427 shelby cobra is my ultimate dream car(and the only material thing I ever wanted in life) and it still is!!!

Unfortunately, project Mongoose (the Cobra's only natural enemy) is back and even more deadly fighting on equal terms(427 SB) & (option of no traction control).

If I lose I can always say I never wanted to de-throne the King.

By the way Jaguuuuar is owned by Ford.

Looking forward to Race Day.

Is Andrew going ? I've not heard from him yet.
He should go because he has to defend the crown right ?
Charlie does not log on but watch out cause I bet he's the real sleeper!

BTW.......
What do you mean 2 yellows ? Who's the other yellow besides the DYC ?
Oh.was not thinking of Steve's vette !

As far as the little blue I can tell you I hope to make 5-6-8+ passes ..
..so not to worry. I will definitely be on the conga line ! BTW...orange and blue don't make a good mix.....GRrrrrrrrr..

So that means you will be:
1)"Goin after blue" (btw...I like the way that reads !)
2) PLUS the settling old DYC business
3) PUS another Vette to tangle with !
Hey ! DR. V...You're going to be busier than a weekend Duty Physician !

Hmmmm..... Here I was thinking you and Steve would just cruise along,60mph, perhaps pop a wave every now and then...meet at the thruway stops etc.......
The Vette holeshot battles will be awesome at the track though !

Also....nobody has mentioned Teddy who is running very well and will be on the line.....all day. Joe's motor is a 7K rpm killer. If Charlie gets out of the hole and cuts loose with the Paxton .....whoa !
And...what I do know is the DYC has been running pretty darn strong lately then comes the 3rd gear surprize !

Yeah....It seems we will all have our hands full !
Aren't we kind of too old for all this stuff ? (:-)

Well...I've got to make plans for the aftermath of Vito hunting to kill my little Cobra with his Z06 !
June 9th is not far away and I plan to head up to the house next week with some supplies. So....I'm planning on some jumbo burgers for the grill , corn, potatoes, salads etc. we can paper plate it with plenty of soda and buckets of beer !! Is a cooler full of Miller Lite tall necks okay or do you guys prefer something else ? I figure a BYOB in the liqour dept but I should have an ample vodka supply for those inclined for the OJ and fruit juice drinks. Or...let me know if I should pick something up. In the morning we'll have coffee and some bagels available but there is a diner on the way to the thruway too. I hope to keep dinner meal prep quick, on the BBQ, since I forsee the "geritol crew" will be pretty beat after a full day at the track ! Pulling trailers will also limit our mobility so why not make one destination our last for the day ! We can keep it quick and simple. Otherwise ..if there are any ideas please kick them to me soon if you can.

Joe...I passed by an open trailer on Sunrise east service road right between Exit 45 & 46 Tuesday evening. I was going too fast to see for sure but it did look like it had a 4-sale sign. Weds I was LIRR to Manhattan , yesterday I was off so tonight I will get off at X-45 stay on the service road and scope it out further.

Steve ...it looks like Compy has a location off the LIE in Nassau for the early morning meet. We will firm that up in the weeks to come. No matter when we all leave because I bet you and Vito arrive 90 minutes before we do !!

Okay Ray.....Got to check in with Joe (ERA-FIA) on availability because he arranged the track end of this event with regard to the number of cars paid in advance to secure our slots. The track is rented/closed by a club and we are paying to fill the remainder of those slots.
