Long Island Cobra Run to Port Jeff 7/29/06
We did a LICR to Port Jeff two years ago with an excellent turnout, the extra bonus was a after lunch visit to Powersurge Performance, and a few of our guy's were able to have there Cobra's Dynoed.
Bobby Burns will lead the group tp Port Jeff, Saturday July 29. Sal has again offered us another invitation to visit with dyno time, so after lunch we are all invited to Powersurge Performance.

Count me in as long as the rain holds out. Not sure if I can hang out to hit the dyno, but I would certainly like to see the shop, etc.
Any chance he does NYS inspections of Cobra's as well?
Thanks

Bobby...hopefully the skies will clear by next saturday, well 6 is better then none and a few always show up the last minute. Bob from CT emailed me and might try to make the trip. If he does, im sure he'd rather drive his own cobra then drive with me again !!
Slojo..the last time I did the same thing, I rode out with the group and unfortunately did not make it to Sals shop because the insignificent other wanted to go home ???

Tony:
The stains came out in the wash no problem. What did you use to clean the seat?

The ferry company requires that all convertibles be covered because a few years ago the fire sprinkler system was set off and some guy got his Porsche filled with salt water. I always have a big piece of plastic with me anyway (in case it rains) and I cover the car with it.
I also let them know at the dock that I want to be parked on a level surface.

Guys,
Weather permitting, count me in. I like doing the Port Jefferson run because it's another hour of seat time. I enjoy watching the sightseers and hearing their comments as they look at our Cobras. The weather forecast is for 91 and clear. The run to Powersurge is always entertaining because you get to watch some of the guys doing dyno runs. It will be a good day.

Hey Guys:
If the weather is dry I will be arriving via the ferry at 9:45. Where should I look for you guys? Can I assume we will be having lunch and/or refreshments in PJ? How long do you anticipate we will be at Sal's?

Talked privately with Tony about seeing if i can join you guys at Babylon as a non driver. He said it shouldn't be a problem as some guys don't have any passengers. I just don't want to put anyone on the spot come saturday morning. Would anyone be willing to take me along as a passenger?

Joe...there should be an open seat !!
Bob...If the group leaves at 9am they should be there no later then 10, the route is pretty direct this time. Once you depart the ferry we will be directly behind the strip mall directly across the street. Enter the parking lot by either Broadway or Main St.
Also Powersurge is less the 5 miles from PJ
John...Glad to see your gonna make the run, hopefully I make it !!!

Just got back from Oakdale (07/27/06) and was hoping to run into a few of you guys there....no such luck. Only Cobra to show up was my buddy. Told him about the fellas here and he'd like to make the trip to Nicks shop sometime. He's a bit hesitant since his cobra is chevy powered. I told him not to worry, the guys seem very open minded and cordial.

If anyone needs a ride from Nick's to PJ and then to Sal's, I'll have an open seat in the SPF. After Sal's though, I am heading back home, which is in Lake Grove. The Mrs. only give 1/2 days to play. Let me know, I'm flexible.
Thanks

Hey guys, I am going to try to have a 6ft hero and some soda and chips and such at the shop, so you guys can have something to munch on while you're here. Look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!
