Hey Tony:
Just so you know, Lime Rock is charging each person entering the track on Sunday (show day) $25.00. SAAC is charging each car an additional $5.00. This means if you show up with your beautiful Superformance with a passenger in the scream seat you will have to hand over $55.00 to park in the short stretch between turns 2 and 3.
To me it's just too much, I will probably skip the event.

Bob and Jim..... I agree, having fun is not cheap these days, but it's all about the drive !!!
Im looking foward to seeing the Trans-Am cars up close, especially the Sam Posey Challenger and Dan Gurney Cuda....I might drive back on Monday in the Mustang to see the races.!!

Ok it is official. There is no God! The sun is not coming up tommorow morning and the sky is probably falling. Did Jim "I can get another ten horsepower from a $100.00 teflon dipstick" 1775 balk at the price of a Cobra event.
What if Christopher Columbus thought the price of gasoline was to expensive to discover America?
What if Gen. Patton didn't want to get his pants wet storming the beach at Iwo Jima?
Whaty if OJ thought gloves were to expensive and decided to go see Momma without them?
Where would we be?
Lets hear no more blaspheme. Remember the first rule of owning a Cobra!
THERE ARE NO RULES!
REPEAT AFTER ME! Forgive me Carroll for I have sinned . I let money enter my thought process concerning my one true love who never talks back and gives me sex whenever I want.
It is about wind in the face and internal combustion. " A few brief minutes against the redline with no catalytic converter and fifty-five miles an hour speed limits.
Go forth and sin no more you are forgiven my son. Say Three Hail to the Chiefs watch the Gumball rally from beginning to end including the credits and I will see you on September 3rd!

Bill,
I wish I could make the RUN but the wife and I have a previous committment (Bar-B-Q). It's my friends (neighbor) 70th B-day and no way I can miss it. If you remember the movie "Never On Sunday", that's me. The 2 times that I made the Limerock Run was a blast. Your right that $$$$$ should not be a factor. I will be with you mentally.

Thats too bad John. You will be missed. Your blast under the overpass where the nice State trooper was hiding has become legendary in it's retelling of the tale.
Hey are you sure you can't make it? It's not like the guy is never going to have a 70th birthday again. You could make it the next time he's 70. My wife has been forty for about ten years now.

Tony,
I + 2 Cobras, a GT350, and a 550 Spyder may want to join up around the Cross Island Pkwy. Is there some place there we can hook up? Otherwise, we can park around the Northern Blvd ramp, synch up via cell phone, and then get onto the CIP and join up. The other thing is to regroup immediately after the Throgs Neck Bridge Toll Plaza (on the right side?) and then go from there since some would pay cash, others EZPass and the caravan would be broken up anyway. What do you think?

Ray we have done the cell phone sync thing before and it works pretty well. We will give you a call as we leave the Mcdonalds in East Meadow. I would strongly advise all to have ez pass though. It is almost impossible to stay together without them.

I would love to attend as a "passenger". If anyone has an empty seat and would be willing to take me, i'd appreciate that. Fuel is on me.

Tony;
Sounds like another great day in the making. Missed you last year and from your pictures the event looks like it gets bigger and bigger every year.
My son is visiting from out of state and will be riding shotgun or maybe it'll be me............
We'll plan to meet you at the Putnam diner as last time. If you get a 6am start I figure you should hit the diner around 7:30am.
Looking forward to seeing everyone.

As long as nothing comes up, I'm in for this one. Will be taking the wife too, and she's looking forward to it.
One question tho... are there any planned stops for fuel along the way? Being that my car has no fuel gauge, I am a little nervous of a trip of this distance for the first time.

We'll see you up there on Sunday...
I would ask for your cell number, Sal...but, if I recall, Lime Rock is a black-hole for cell phones...at least Verizon-powered ones.
