Oops, I missed that, dang! I would have gone.
Anyway, maybe it would be a help to post the runs or schedule on here. Although I visit Bobby's site now and then, (good one BTW) I and maybe many others are here more often because of the other subforums.
Thanks!
Hey, isn't that Tony's job?

They probably didn't post it here because they didn't want me going with them...... or at least that's how it feels all the time.

You mean they don't make you feel welcome? Noooo way...
That's funny but that's how I felt too but I think they're just "shy". It takes a special breed to be a 'salesman'

I really don't know. I have offered my shop to everyone, not just for work, but just as a general hang out spot or meeting spot for runs and nobody has interest. They do runs to Port Jeff (where I am) and never have any interest in coming by. Anytime a post is made about a potential meet or run asking what dates are good for people, it seems the date I can't go is always the one picked. Even here on the site, it seems they don't even seem interested in responding to my threads.
I'm sure it's absurd to think this is all on purpose, but man, it sure seems like they just don't want me in their crowd.
All I want to do is have fun in my Cobra with other Cobra guys .

Boys, come on lighten up. As the self appointed Morale Officer of the Non-existant , Long Island Over the Hill He Man Women Haters Cobra Club of America. (An affiliate of the Columbus Circle Cobra Club which actually has President for life -Dr Idi Ameany Bob) (Sorry B> Couldn't resist). No one is ever excluded from our events. I admit they are often put together on short notice and without much fanfare, but I don't think any of us have the ambition or grey matter to devise a date that keeps certain people away. You need a Cobra and a need for speed. If we are not organized that is the way we like it . All you have to do is show up at Nick's once in a while to keep tabs on whats going on.
Sal thank you for your invite it is appreciated but the fact is the majority of the non existant membership is from from the Nassau county and I am hearing rumbles even from the hard core gas prices suck. I will be in touch for a dyno appointment in the near future just finishing some engine mods .
That said we are having a lunch at Nicks slated for May 26th. Stop by for exact times and cost.
Not an exact quote but taken from the Bible of the Gumball rally"
"The first rule of the Cobra club is THERE AIN'T NO RULES"

Lol
Wow, except for the laughs I got reading this thread, I am almost sorry I asked. (The original question of any east end runs...)
Maybe there is a need for a suffolk county chapter of the hee man woman haters club, or what ever its called...
You guys kill me... Hope to see you on the road soon, my engine work should be done in about 3 weeks...

I was hoping to get over to the island for the run to the Hamptons. What do I do now? I thought Sunday would be the perfect day.

Don't feel too bad Ray, I missed the Sat run as well, but Compy did invite me spur of the moment while I was at nic's. Too short notice for me. I have to check that other link when I get a chance.

Okay...I think I can summarize. Four step process.
1) JOIN Bobby's Columbus Circle Cobra Club ($25/yr) and you will get on the mailing list for the major club runs Bobby organizes so well. He has taken the flag . Hats off to Tony who carried that flag the past few years ! While the checkbook is out ask about the Cool Cobra Jackets !
Wait !! Is Tony back ???
2) Stop by Nicks on Saturdays to stay in touch with the boys on spontaneous events other planned gatherings etc.
3) Know ahead of time that Compy's DYC (Damn Yellow Cobra) now has huffin new BRODIX heads and STILL sprays the nasty juice from that big blue bottle ! I'm buying touch up paint for my doors !!
4) Never forget Bob in Ct is always ready to roll with us poor folk here on Long Island !!
