I enjoyed your video of the Cobra's going through Manhattan
I really liked the video of all the Cobra's driving through Manhattan, until the cops pulled someone over and I believe issued them a ticket.

Guys, my electric fan crapped out on the way into paddock area and temp was going up real fast. Sorry to bail out early but I was worried about traffic jams on our return and since we could not get fan working (thanks to all who tried to help) I packed it in and left around 1pm.
Made it without any major overheating. Every time traffic started bunching up it slowly started moving again. As long as I was moving at normal speed temp was around 170*..... in traffic the highest the highest was 185* when it got a little jammed up at Whitestone Bridge. Had to get off onto 25A and slowly worked my way back to Levittown as traffic was really bad on Cross Island. Got home around 4.20pm with no problems. I really lucked out with both traffic and no major overheating. Kind of like someone was looking out for me Bill C.
Checked fan when I got home jumping directly to a spare battery with jumper wires and the fan worked so my guess is either a bad relay or corroded wire connectors. Will add a roll of wire, spade connectors and a long pair of jumper wires to my tool bag.

PS saw 2 CSXs today. 1 was 1 digit off mine and the other was 5 digits off. Thought it was interesting seeing 2 so close. Both the same color as mine.

Tony, great job today. Think we might have set a record to the diner. Good to let them breath once in awhile. How does the Springsteen song "25 miles without seeing a cop". I used half quart of oil and no nos ,not bad.
Really great day.
Chic glad you got home OK . Same snarl at the Cross. I jumped off at Northern too.
Really going to give my car a once over, it got leaned on a couple of times . Wife was good as gold , only did three Hail Marys

yea i know that feeling u retiring or looking for work?
i lost my job in 04 and we came down here found work , was hiried by two companies the same day
on LI i couldn't find anything.
NC is nice i live in Wake county, probably more NYer's down here than NCer's
but it nice
housing was cheaper when i moved here it still a strong market but the is alot to choose from.
my house here is 3500 sq ft. 4 bedroom 2 1/2 baths 2 car garage(full of junk) i had 16 by 36 inground pool put in on 1/3 acre taxes are about 2100.00
electric way cheaper, no oil heat, gas.
we had a 1600 sqft house in port jeff it's cheaper to heat and cool this house with over twice the sq ft.
plus u can drive your cobra just about all year round, winter are pretty mild
no snow hardly but if it does snow u stay home the whole state closes down, there is no snow removal, it melts by the next day
yea i like it

Yeah, lots of Cobra's on the Island here. Most owners are too busy working to pay for the 'lavish way of life' of 'The Island' instead of driving them the way they were meant to.
I would love to transplant to NC too! I am just too young to retire yet and too lazy to look for new work (the Mrs. is not completely on board yet anyway).
Another pro of NC is the gun laws are much different than NY, if that is of any interest.

i'm sure u could find something to do,play golf, fish, hunt, drive cobra
gun laws are easy on u here go to sheriff and tell him u want to buy a pistol and u wait a few days to get a permit to buy one. that's it. if u own one already u just bring it down u don't even have to register it, hell u can wear it on your hip (unconcealed) but i never seen anyone doing that Wake cty isn't that redneck lol

Some pictures here. Monday races featured tribute laps to Phil Hill and allowed me a few spins around the track. The LimeRock site also has some great pics
