Columbus Center Run
The NYC Columbus Center Run: will be held on Sunday October 5th. We will be meeting at the McDonalds on Hempstead turnpike across from the Nassau Coliseum at 5:45 am and hitting the road at 6:15 am sharp!!!! Please have a full tank of gas and your ez-pass ready to go. It takes just about 45 minutes to make the trip in the city. The route we will be taking is as followed.
Meadowbrook Parkway north to the Northern State Parkway West. Northern State becomes the GCP, GCP to the Cross Island Parkway north to the LIE west. We will take the LIE right into the city via the mid town tunnel. We will take 3rd ave uptown to 60th street where we will make a left across town. At 5th ave we need go ¼ ways around the island to 58th street. 58th street west up to Columbus Center. ½ ways around the circle we park in front of the Time Warner Center. We will stay in the city until 9am when we will make our way back east to the beach where lunch will be served. Let me know if you plan on heading back to the beach for lunch so that I can get enough sandwiches. It will be $5 per person. All club members and newly signed club members will receive a club tee shirt. I need everyone on your best behavior this year, no police activities please!!! Regards, Bobby |

I plan on being in town to make this trip with the club as long as I can get get some maintenace done by having my valve springs refreshed !

I am twisting arms to get a group to make the journey. What time do you anticipate arriving at the site and what time does it end? I'd like to make this event into something that could unite Cobras in the Tri-State region and get the ball rolling.

All, We arrive at 7am and leave at 9am. trying to get a bunch of people to head to the beach for lunch on long island.

Hey guys, I'm from North Jersey, I Plan on meeting the group at 7am at the circle - easy for me to jump over the GW and head south. I look forward to meeting you guys, have a great run - see you there.

Our kit will be coming through in an enclosed trailer tomorrow about the same time you guys are going to be there. It will be coming from Ga to LI. Maybe it'll pass you guys on the way.
With any luck, we'll be joining you there next year. |
I can't make it this year because I switched Insurance Co. and I did'nt get the binder in time. I had a great time last year and I'll miss not making the trip this year.

We are coming from the North with a small group of about 5-6 cars. If anyone else in the CT area wants to join our drive down we are leaving from the last Rest Area on the Merritt Parkway before the NYS border at 6:30am sharp.
