Ivan isn't too keen on recognizing failures.

Just heard on the news that the spiral light was caused by a Russian ICBM test that had the 3rd stage fail . The missile was supposedly launched from a Russian sub .... and supposedly the launch was confirmed by Russia . If so , think about the timing and message the Russians are sending . Obama accepting a Peace Prize as the Russians launch an ICBM near the conference . Is this also an answer to his initiative to reduce American and Russian nuclear weapons and missiles ? If true , looks like the Russians sent one hell of a message .... let`s hope someone with some sense gets it !
This is what happens when you are perceived as weak .
The Russian have been modernizing their military for the past year or so. They and China will have to step in and control the world after Obama turns us into another 3rd world country. Who knows. they may have been testing the missile to try and hit the awards presentation. If it had came from a higher source, I am sure that God would not miss.

Ernie ... maybe you should re read the post as I wasn`t making any "argument" ... just commenting that it seemed that someone APPEARED to be sending a message . If what I heard was true , then do you really believe the timing was a coincidence ?
My final statement was " .... perceived as weak " . Perception can be reality and so far , the President hasn`t stood up to the Russians and actually backed down when he agreed to not put the missiles in Poland as previously agreed ... just as the Russians wanted , and we got nothing in return .
I hope your last statement was intended as a poor " joke " since you don`t know me . I used to run on the dirt tracks here in the South , and went home on a regular basis with a torn up car because you NEVER back down or show you can be intimated on or off the track . Several times we had to be escorted out of the tracks by the police .... but we always went back the next week and raced ... and had no problems . Once you show you can`t be intimidated and are willing to fight , they leave you alone .
It was a poor joke Bobcat, my apologies (not that I"M backing down ).
My point is, I find it difficult to believe the Russsians were out to "send a message" by launching a missle, which unfortunately for them, had a failure of some kind. As for not putting missles in Poland, actually that deal worked out rather sweetly for both sides and turned out to be a good political move for us. It just looked weird initially.
