Capitalism was first born here, as private contractors bid on the monuments. Then unions were born, as the slaves united and convinced management they would live longer if given greater rations of water, which had to be hauled, of course.
Then the whole thing collapsed, as contractors wanted more moola for smaller and smaller monuments, and the slaves demanded ever more rations to do less work.
No Temple lasts forever.
Am I on a roll or what?
