Fred,

I believe that you are supposed top measure from the top to bottom. How long did it take you to gather up that much snow?

I can't believe this crap.

We leave in four days for the Spring Meet (driving open again this year), and 25 cars scheduled for track time on Friday. I don't know about 16", but this is the scene out my front door.

Well it looks nice but maybe by the time you leave it will be gone. Hope that you have good weather for your track time.

We have a little more than 10" but less than 11" on the ground around our home.
I don't know what the official depth is though.

It is melting off fast !!!!

Supposed to be 74* on Tuesday.

Fred,

That is funny as H3LL. It looks suspiciously like somebody ground up a couple of ice cubes and quickly sifted them out of a measuring cup, next to a prepared tape measure.

Our streets look better than jshel1's. But the grassy boulevards have enough snow piled on them to make washing a car futile until about mid-June when the speed dips quit running water... ...again.

After all these years, I finally remembered to snowblow a path in the back yard to let melt-water around my shop instead of through it. Usually it makes an ice-dam and a huge lake with the rear shop door as the spillway.

Have you continued to get enough rain to stay green there, Ron? I haven't been on the forum much lately, between the union and the company, they bumped our work hours up.

Wes

Wes,

For the first time in 5 years we have had near normal rainfall. The lake will be at it highest in the last 5 years but they are saying that it won't get completely full. The good news is that the farmers who had almost all of their water cut off last Summer will get much more this Summer. Bad news is that they are saying this Summer will be even hotter than last Summer and it was a real scorcher, even for here. We had a couple of days the heat index was in the low 120s last Summer and a lot of days that the temperature was in the 115 to 118 range. It would only cool down to around 80 at night.

What is up with all of the extra work hours? I thought that was a national law about how many hours a trucker or engineer can drive without having a break.

Ron

I keep telling everyone that the birds are going to start flying North for the winter if this keeps up.

Joe,

If our Summer is as hot as they are saying it will be, our birds may start coming to Texas to cool off.
