What's your daily driver
When I built my Cobra I had dreams of driving it daily. I used a modern engine and transmission, didn't go out of control with the modifications to the powerplant. Then I learned about insurance, rain, and speeding tickets.
The Cobra's moved on and I'm still looking for that daily driver. I've tried several before, during and after the ownership of my Cobra. But I'm still trying to feed my passion on a more daily basis.
What are you driving each day?
Sports Car Guy Speaks: Is your daily driver sporty enough? I didn't think so. (my blog about my search for a new daily driver)

The Caliente is hot! Roomy, GTO like good looks, and you can even see the engine when you pop the hood. Instead of wires, plastic and hoses.

Why didn't you just swap the cobra for a Coupe?
The new generation of GT500s and the new Boss 302 are both nice (I have a GT500 convertible).

To and from work I have a 2001 Chevy Impalla that my wife got when her father passed away.
For all other trips, it's a 2010 Infiniti QX56. Except when it's nice. Then the Cobra can come out of the garage and play.

When I have the Cobra running and insured, my daily driver is the Cobra as long as the weather permits. I bought one already constructed, found what I wanted, one that was built for street use and already had a chip or two, with full intentions of driving it on a daily basis. I carry a car cover in the trunk in case a rainstorm comes up unexpectedly.
During times of inclement weather (or, when the Cobra isn't running or registered), I drive a 1998 Honda Accord with a VTEC V-6. It has over 200,000 miles, gets 34 MPG, never uses any oil between changes (5,000 mile intervals), runs like a top, and has pretty spirited performance for a factory stock car.
I am planning an 870 mile (one way) trip soon.....hoping to be able to make it in the Cobra.
That brings to mind a question.....I've never driven the Cobra any further than 200 miles in a single day. I'd like to know what the longest distance people have ever driven their Cobras on the road in a single day. I'm use to making 600 to 700 miles a day in the Honda, but I doubt that I can tolerate that much in the Cobra. The buffeting from the wind (even with the wind wings) seems to tire one out easily!
Cheers from Dugly

I believe the longest leg of our vacation last year was from Bend Oregon to Virginia City Nevada. Right around 480 miles by the route we took.
To me the Cobra is the most comfortable vehicle I own with the possible exception of the Infiniti. Have not taken a long trip in it yet.

2004 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab. It's too windy to tow the Cobra so I decided to take my wife's 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee to Phoenix instead of the truck. She just got new tires and I need some. I hadn't driven it for quite a few years on a long trip but had forgotten how comfortable it is.
P.S. The roads still have quite a bit of sand and gravel on them so I haven't had the Cobra out too far, but did take it down to the post office to get the mail this morning. I was going to go on a little ride but there were some bills to pay before I left for Phoenix (via a night of a company reunion in Colorado Springs) so all I got was about 2.5 miles. Didn't even get warmed up.

Glad to see the Cobras aren't the only cool thing people drive.
I currently drive a Grand Cherokee SRT8 (AWD 430Hp), but now that the Cobra's moved on, I drive my '77 BMW R100S bike much more. I bought a '98 Carrera S but haven't driven it yet. I'm sure nothing will ever beat the Cobra for a weekend trip on a warm day though.
I like to think of a Cobra as a motorcycle with 4 wheels.
In my crappy little blog, Sportscarguyspeaks, I'm exploring older cars for daily drivers. Considering early '90's Mustang Cobra perhaps or older cars even. Nothing in great shap, more of something warn in well.
