Default kit car from a crown vic

when is someone going to base a kit car off the crown vic, sometimes used as police cruisers? plentiful and cheap, some even had the watts link rear.

Donors would surely be plentiful, and it'd be one smooth ride, but at a 114" wheelbase, what could you do with it? It's 9 inches longer than a 'vette, and 2 feet longer than a Cobra.

long and wide should lend itself to something useful. maybe not a cobra related car but the parts could be used in a shortened and and narrower application, use body parts like a lotus 7 and width and length are close to moot.

There is a company that makes an El Camino type kit to fit the big Impalas....
maybe you could make a Ranchero type kit for the Crown Vic....

I think those cars should be left to die the miserable deaths they deserve. Most of those things have terminal emissions problems (the check engine lights seem to always be illuminated on those things), and it seems like most folks that drive them don't care. The rest of them seem to be all donked-out, as if they were some kind of rolling advertisement for the driver/owner's lack of taste (or something...).

Crush 'em all, I say. But that's just me.

Eric
