Terry...Lisa wields a very big stick that can also be a magic wand.

Calmly and respectfully explain your situation to her and I'm certain she can assist you in resolving this issue.

Her involvement resulted in me receiving my SPCN certificate two days after applying for it at the local DMV office and when the SB100 process was completed and all the paperwork was submitted to the local DMV office, I received my new title three days later. I was impressed!

Bingo2.

Sure sounds like Lisa is the one to talk to.

After really checking out my Certificate of Title (that states the year model as 0000 and make as SPCNS) and all of my back registrations, It looks like when I got personal plates, later in 2005, they changed the year model to 2005 on my yearly registration ony. My COT still has my orgional plate number on it.

I never noticed it before because I had never had an issue like this. Like Mr. Morgester said, I had fell through the cracks and they just discovered it.

This must be why it is all messed up. Hopefully Lisa can help me out on it.

So far. The local DMV has their head up where the sun does not shine. I tried to contact Lisa bu she was never in but Carlene helped me. As of Wednesday, I now have an SB100 number written on a piece of paper and am waiting for 2 weeks for the actual paper to come in the mail. Then it is off to the BAR.

Thanks for all of help from everybody.

Bingo2, you have some very powerfull contacts in the DMV.

I'm happy to be of help. I've spoken with Carlene as well....those girls rock!

One other point; if your engine does not have a closed PCV system in place, you probably won't get past the BAR referee.

Good luck.

You are well on your way with the sequence number in hand. It is just a matter of time now.

What do you mean by "closed PCV system"?

It has a PCV valve in the valve cover and the hose runs to the back/base of the carb.

That's half of the system; you should have another breather on the other valve cover with a hose that provides clean air for the system. That hose is usually connected to the base of the air cleaner.

See this example; http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/su..._pcv_valve.gif

Well, I do have a "slip on" oil filler on the other valve cover. I guess I can get the items needed, modify the breather and that should work.

Thanks Bingo2.

My oil filler has a filtered breather cap on it. Do I need to change it to hook up to the air filter also?

I can't say if your setup would pass or not. The example I provided is the exact one the BAR Referee provided to me and it depicts air drawn from the air filter housing. Whether or not the referee would consider the breather as providing filtered air to the system, who knows.

Today I have my SB100 sticker on my car. Nice guys down there at the BAR at MJC west.

Bingo2, My setup would NOT have passed. That is the first thing that they checked. The guy asked if I had something like a stage 4 PCV, or something like that. I showed him what I had done and he just smiled and said "perfect". Less than 45 minuites later and I was out the door with a handshake, SB100 and nice comments like, I wish everybody came in prepaired like you. Everything they asked for I had right there. Of course they did not really ask for too much, but I had it.

Thanks to all for of your help.
