Double Posting Problem
Frequently when I respond to a thread upon clicking the reply button, my computer tries to post my comments twice. I get the message you have to wait 90 seconds between posts. I exit out of the warning and my single post is there.
And another thing, I started a new thread "Starter Fuse Blew?". When I click on "New Posts" menu, my thread doesn't come up. I have to go to the Superformance forum to find my thread. I've had responses to my question so others are finding it.
Waz up??

Clicking "new posts" does not show YOUR last post for some reason. You have to go back to the actual forum that you posted in. It has been doing that for a long time. At least in my case anyway.

The "New Posts" is a search function that shows UNREAD posts.
If you created the post, it has already been read by you.
Maybe "Quick Links"..."Today's Posts" is the behavior you were expecting.
The 'double-posting' is not a current issue that has been seen; it may be your click bounces.

I have been having the same problem as WardL. When I get that message I just go to new posts or the forum that I posted in and it has been there. This has been happening for a while but I have just ignored it.

...nope, no problem.
Are you inadvertently double-clicking the Post Quick Reply button, instead of a single-click?

I don't think it happens every time. There is something touchy about the Post Quick Reply button or maybe it is the occasional user with a touchy mouse.

I had an issue today when I was replying to a post. When i clicked the "post quick reply" button it came up with another window that said something about making another reply to quick or something and I was going to wait until the timer ran out and press reply again but instead I just closed CC and then went right back in and my reply was there.
Like CW said, maybe I had a nervious clicking finger or something. I.E. clicked twice by mistake.
Every tim that I post/reply to anything it comes up with a window that says something about accepting my post and if I posted to a poll it will redirect me to it.
Also if I edit a post and click "save" it just sets there on the post like I was still editing it. If I just go to another part of the forum and then go back to the post, it did save my edit though.
Compleatly different than CHR. On CHR if you make a post and then click on new posts you can see your post that you just posted. Strange as Brent runs both sites. Of course CC, CHR and ClubChopper are compleatly different formats.

I have been having this problem for a long time and I just go back to the Forum I am in such as All cobra Talk and then go back and the edited version is in there.

I don't have a double posting problem but for me the site takes a really long time to load the pages. Sometimes better than a minute.
This system has 8GB's (7.80 useable) RAM

Steve,
I am finding that it is very inconsistant on that end. Sometimes I think that it could be just how many people are on CC at the time. If I am at work and log on at the start of lunch (11:30 PT) it usually lets me in fine but after a bit navigating through the site becomes slow and sometimes it just locks up.
I'll then exit out and then try to go back in and I will get an error and it will not go at all. If I try CHR it still will not go in either.
Then sometimes it logs on and stays on just fine. That is why I was thinking it was just being overwhelmed by too many users at one time.
Although I could be wrong and probably am. Maybe it is everyone at my shop on the computers at lunch and it is our system not Brent's.

Well I have three computers on our system and don't seem to have that problem on any other sites, so I don't know. I do know, it is not this sytem that is my primary PC.
I don't know if it is the sever not being able to handle too many people at the same time. Ron CW would have to answer that on for us.
