My hat's off to you for bringing it back up.
After the Virginia Tech game, I said they didn't deserve to be ranked, and I am a big Buckeye fan. This team has to be the most improved team in one season ever.
I think Alabama and Oregon were both Great teams (much respect and admiration for their programs). Both would have easily beat OSU in Sept, or Oct, Maybe even in Nov, but OSU just kept getting better. So in your defense, when you said it, you were talking about a different team than it is today. Since no team prior had ever improved so much, why would you have thought any differently?
Now for Big Ten teams, seems 3 Big Ten teams came out victorious over SEC teams. Not sure if the Big Ten is getting better or if the SEC is getting weaker.
I do think the OSU defeat of Wisconsin helped both teams to prepare for their final games. OSU finally realized their full potential, and Wisconsin gained the experience of playing a great team.
Anyway that's one opinion.
