oh, yeah, Gary, I know about volunteering!! I've taken a couple of years 'off', and it seems I'm slowly getting back in. I always said I'd 'follow my kids' with my projects.... I mostly started volunteering at the local library; shelving, check out, story times, etc.... after 12 years, 2 time 'volunteer of the year', (most hours 2 years running!!) and finally, President of the Friends of the library for 3 years. Projects, fundraising, work work work, all for a lovely volunteer appreciation dinner! No, just kidding, very rewarding, but after 12 years, I finally moved away from it all (we moved for school- not to escape my volunteerism!!! ) We moved 3 years ago, and this is my first 'real' project at their school. When people find out you're a worker bee, or better yet, a 'queen' bee, then watch out! With my youngest being 5, I can do a little more at school. At some point I will substitute, but I don't EVER want to go back to classroom teaching!!! Gotta keep my Wednesday's open for scrapbooking!!!
ps. I started all the library work as a 'newlywed'; not working etc.... After 4 kids, the youngest was 2, I said enough!!!

Ok, I finally decided to dive into this (silly) thread. It has taken me 1 week and 2 days, and 23 hours, and 52 minutes to read it all, and I wish I never got started. Also, got to see a side of Kristen that, frankly, scared me....

What the deivl are the both of you doing up so early? Earl must have a sunny day so he will have to work instead of just sit and be bored but I had rather do that than stare at a screen all day and try to stay awake. Mike, you should use your keyboard class for something constructive. Design your car and print out the stuff so you can make card board templates and see if they look ok. Looks as if we are going to have another pretty nice day here today. To dark to see anything right now. My right hip has the nerve pinched so bad I can't hardly walk so I have to take it easy until that works itself out. Darn this getting old.

Mike,
Which side of Kristen did you see that scared you? I am working my way around from right to left and would just as soon avoid that side. She is really a very busy person what with all the scrapbooking. Must have at least 50 of the things.

Well, Kristen you are up early. How is the weather there? Kristen, sometimes you can find a shorter route by not just doing the whole Yahoo maps thing. I have managed to shorten trips by several miles and an hour or so by doing a city to city type thing with them. They over all trip lay out is based on the main link between points, no stops, and driving at the speed limit all the way. And no way can you make a long trip without stopping and running into traffic or delays that will cause you to have to drop below the speed limits.
