Morning all. No yard work today as I overdid it the past two days and my nerves are shot. No rest, just nightmares all night and that is a sure sign that if I don't take a day off I will be going to the doctor. The heat is just much harder on my nerves than the cold. And getting old isn't helping either.
Earl,
Sounds as if you have a lesurely day ahead of you. Mike has cold and SNOW ahead of him. See, I spelled it out But I would take the snow right not to improve over what I am going through.
Kristen,
Quit taking on so many projects. It is almost Summer and you are going to need time to play. What is the latest word on Pepe?

Kristen,
Great news. Let us know how you like the new automatic transmission. Hope that your weather is nice for the drive home.

Kristen, if you haven't left yet, I need a favor...
I am not on K-Craft M-sports, Plano's, Top 10 list.
Apparently you are.
Back in the fall of '04 Gunrack, BDR #139 went in for some repairs (my bad, maybe) and Rob redynoed and rejetted and came up with 315 RWHP.
I was told.
For right at $11 Large... I would would dearly love to take possession of the dyno sheets.
You seem to be a dynamic and charismatic person with influence over the crew of this most excellent engine shop.
If you can make the time would you ask them nicely where the dyno sheets might be?
Then ask them to give them to YOU cause they won't talk to ME.
Yeah, I'm suckin' up to you as hard as I know how.
Thanks, Kristen.

Mike,
That isn't strange for here. He could walk down the street and no one would even notice him. Now if he would just mow the lawn for me, that would get some attention.

SORRY, UT!!! LEFT BEFORE I SAW YOUR POST!!
I was pretty much at the mercy of my chauffeur. Sorry! I would have asked for and gotten the dyno's.... (well who knows) but I will definitely ask for them NEXT TIME I'm at KC. which, of course I hope is NEVER because it kinda drains the check book just a wee little bit (cough cough).....
but, as I read over the instruction sheet for the toploader, it says I have to have some grease thing (gear lube) changed between 500-1000 miles and since we don't work on the car, we must take car back to KC.... hmmmm. isn't that what my quiklift, tools, etc. are supposed to make me be able to do???? course I don't have them yet, but sometime.... ok, anyway, looks like I'll be back in Plano at SOMETIME and I'll try to get your dynos at that time..... Don't need to be reminded; I have a memory like a steel trap... ask my hubby and kids.....
So. top speed today, 71 on the dreaded hi-5, LBJ interchange, etc. Speedo worked the whole way! That interchange is where it has stopped working BOTH times I've had it fixed.... Drove like a champ..... yehaw! glad he's back.... now just a bit dirty, or dusty..... clean em up tomorrow..... gotta get my new tires ordered, asap. maybe new sidepipes, but not in a big hurry for that..... Austin is coming up quick!! (remember, I have to have it loaded in the trailer before I even leave for Florida!! yikes!!!)
gotta go. My hair is wild. good thing.....

Not me . I like what the town of London has contributed to this "community" for 4 years. Moving the Fling to another local, (lets just say there are issues with the Fling per se and leave it there) is wrong in my book, I'd support the London cruise. But due to time constraints this coming summer there would be no way I could drive there(I don't have a trailer and am not about to ship the car anyway) I'd only go if I flew in.

CG glad you got "Pepe" back in one piece and he is working just fine. Tell hubby he "has the kids for the weekend, entertain them , keep them away from me!" Then clean the "lil mule" up.
PS you have seen "Romancing the Stone" haven't you. The name for a car "Pepe" always reminds me of the drug dealer's "lil mule" his hopped up Bronco

Kristen,
Happy to hear that Pepe is happily back home and everything is working well. And yes, you can change the fluid in the transmission. Just ask them what kind they used. No harder on mine than changing the motor oil, but I buy the larger bottle that has a pump in it. Just drain the old, then put the hose in the fill plug and pump until it just starts to seep out. On a level place of course. Also I check the level of the gear oil in the rear end, but not every time I drive it. A posi traction unit requires different gear oil than an open rear end so ask them what kind they used. I try to stay with whatever the people who built something for me used. Havea great day. I am going back to bed soon.
Mike,
Well, I see that you are starting to play with your photography program. Not to bad for a kid that is to young to drive.

pretty funny Mike!
Remember, Ron, it's all about supporting the economy. I am supporting KC's economy (well, really Drew B., then Rob, then Michael and Mark, then the sweeper boy, etc......)
I am soooo glad to have the car back! This office is right next to the garage, and I can just sorta smell him! It's such a great smell... sorta like when my hubby wears that cologne I bought for him a zillion years ago.... It looks kinda chilly out there this morning. I hope it warms up a bit, cuz I'm gonna give him a proper washing, and polishing. I've waited too long to order the new tires for Austin. Time just sneaks up on you, doesn't it? I should have them by the next track event. I guess I'll call up and order a quiklift, too. Had to recall Sears and order a catalog, again. Maybe this time I'll get it!
I talked to my bubba in Seattle, and he's thinking of going to a June event with me. That might make it all work. 18+ hours in the truck pulling trailer by myself sounds like more work than fun. I don't know. Might not decide about June until June! I'm really wanting hubby to buy me a truck. We don't really NEED another truck, but I just want one! He says to take 'my' money and go buy one, if I want one. I don't want to spend 'my' money on a truck! I want him to! His truck is a '96, and the old, whupped out farm truck is a '92. It isn't 'broke' enough to get rid of it, and he just can't see having a new truck. Supposedly our dealer friend was looking for a truck for him to trade my old Sequoia. Haven't heard how that's going. Yesterday hubby was driving around in the Sequoia, and now it's parked with the old land cruiser under the porte---- whatever that french word is for carport. p o r t e c h a c h e. I'm sure that isn't it...... covered porch/drive connected to the house..... rambling as usual.....
ttyl!!!

I'm sick!
Spent the day in bed, may do the same today. Age is not a good thing.
Mike, maybe you should become a graphic artist.
Ron, hope you are doing better than me. I feel yuck!
Well, it is 12 out side. I might have to wear a coat. Got a few inches of snow...again.
Hope you all are having better health and weather.

oh, tru! sorry you're ill. What's wrong? Upper respiratory? Flu? Hope it doesn't get you down all week like it did my hubby a couple of weeks ago. Drink lots of orange juice. (unless you're puking)
If you take 'tamaflu' within 24+ hours of fever, you'll have a much less severe case.
Maybe you'll like some oatmeal or cream of wheat?
get well soon!

Kristen,
You do have problems trying to decide what to do. Decisions, decisions. Should I buy a new truck or a jet plane. By the way, Pepe will run just as well with some dirt on him. Ask my car. I go over it maybe twice a year with the wet paint. Takes about 20 to 30 minutes depending on if I stay at it or stop and have a Diet Pepsi or so. As for supporting the economy, send ME money. I will spend it and that will support the economy.
Tru,
Sorry to hear they you are not feeling well. We both spent much of yesterday in bed as I just got to hot out in that sun and it really messed me up. My doctor told me that I had another minor heat stroke. Now I have to take it easy for four or five days. But it is overcast today and is supposed to rain tomorrw. Temperature is way down in the 50s now.

Ron. don't drink diet Pepsi, drink water! will help keep your heat stroke from starting. Sorry you guys are down. Get better soon!
pretty chilly here.
BTW. I LOVE the automatic! makes driving sooo much easier. Thanks, David Kee.
BTW, GR. I have spent way too much time this morning looking for 'that mystery post' that said you were going to fling. I do believe it was "DonC FROM OREGON" that I was referring to. hmm. Sorry! Wish it was you (no offense to Don) because my bubba is thinking of coming, and he could 'fly' with you.....
gotta go for awhile. take care, boys.
