I wish. Don't believe all you see in my profile. Ancient sounds more sopisticated than OLD !!!
You own a house in Hawaii. Darn, and I can't even afford a place in Oklahoma or Arkansas. But like you, I enjoyed the smaller islands and away from the tourist traps a lot more. However I did buy a 1 acre plot of ground on the moon several years ago.

no, ron, I don't own a house in hawaii. my hubby and his brother own a hut in hawaii. I call it the hawaiian hut..... my understanding is that there are some druggies a couple of huts away, and they come and put voodoo hexes on occupants of the hut at night. not my hut. hubby's. remember, my car, his hut. my cutie girls. his hoodlums. my house, his yard. my cutie doggie, his big ugly dogs... you get the picture!
Mike. you would not like it at my house. we have major regulations regarding toys in room. xbox. yes. but I have the power cord from Sunday pm to Friday afternoon. Satellite radio. my car only. they do have their little boomboxes. tv in room? you've got to be kidding. yeah, it's there, but no antenna, no cable, only hooked up to xbox. remember, no power cord. there is a phone. no computer, sunday pm til friday afternoon. little tv, monday - friday. drill camp around here. c'mon on down!!! course with all those regulations, you'd have pepe apart and back together in a couple of weeks, i bet!!
gotta go. monday chores are calling. long day. piano, scouts, oops, not tonight- got basketball and soccer..... homework, whatever!!
hey, that "jamie foxx' that won an academy award last night, (didn't watch, tho) he is from Terrell. 30 miles east of dallas, and where we go for piano, scouts. The little town where hubby grew up..... they had a big watch party for jamie foxx last night, i heard.
see ya'll!

Mike,
If you have time off go outside and play. You shouldn't spend all your time inside watching a TV. That is for old people like me.
Kristen,
I like the way you divide things up.

Just thought I would toss this in for the kiddies like Mike.
A man and a woman, who have never met before, find themselves assigned to the same sleeping room on a transcontinental train.
Though initially embarrassed and uneasy over sharing a room, the two retired and fell asleep quickly...him in the upper bunk and she in the lower.
At 1:00 AM, he leans over and gently wakes the woman saying,
"Ma'am, I'm sorry to bother you, but would you be willing to
reach into the closet to get me a second blanket? I'm awfully cold."
"I have a better idea," she replies. "Just for tonight, let's pretend that we're married." "Wow! That's a great idea!!" he exclaims.
"Good," she replies. "Get your own damn blanket!"
After a moment of silence, he farted

There is nothing like 4 wheel drive to get you to work in half a foot of snow.
Well, I am thinking I'll never get a chance to drive the cobra on dry roads.
Good morning!!!!

We'll miss you, Ron. Check in with us when you can.
tru. snow and more snow. hmmm. not here, but too windy and quite chilly for cobra today!
mike. NO! I'd rather be hot than cold any day. Cold just goes right to the bones. hot, just sweat it off!!!
I have too many things to do.
TRU: I'm sending you a pm.....

Back from the days first crisis. Maybe things won't turn out quite as badly as I had feared.
Tru,
Still having snow and cold are you. Well look at the bright side of things. Spring is just around the corner. However the corner may be several miles away.
Kristen,
I don't like either the real hot or cold. We don't have it as cold here as Tru and those peopleback there do, but our 110+ Summers with some humidity added are murder to my nerves. I like the cooler weather much better as it doesn't bother my nerves nearly as much as the heat. Also I can dress for cooler weather, but I can only take off so many clothes for the heat.

WHY?
Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries
are getting weak?
Why do banks charge a fee on "insufficient funds" when they know there
is not enough?
Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars,
but check when you say the paint is wet?
Why doesn't glue stick to the bottle?
Why do they use sterilized needles for death by lethal injection?
Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?
Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throwa revolver at him?
Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?
Whose idea was it to put an "S" in the word "lisp"?
If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?
Why is it that no matter what color bubble bath you use the bubbles arealways white?
Is there ever a day that mattresses are not on sale?
Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes thatsomething new to eat will have materialized?
Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance?
Why is it that no plastic bag will open from the end you first try?
How do those dead bugs get into those enclosed light fixtures?
When we are in the supermarket and someone rams our ankle with a shopping cart then apologizes for doing so, why do we say, "It's all right?" Well, it isn't all right so why don't we say, "That hurt, you stupid idiot?"
Why is it that whenever you attempt to catch something that's falling off the table you always manage to knock something else over?
In winter why do we try to keep the house as warm as it was in summer when we complained about the heat?
How come you never hear father-in-law jokes?
If at first you don't succeed, shouldn't you try doing it like your
wife told you to do it?
And obviously if at first you don't succeed, then don't take up sky
diving!
And my FAVORITE......
The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four persons is
suffering from some sort of mental illness. Think of your three best
friends, if they're okay, then it's you.
