Stumbled onto this pic of UT and Mr. Jiggs from 1976. Might have posted it before.
That's my '59 Austin Healey Sprite. Fifty cubic inches, 50 HP. She could hit 90 when I fed her oxygen. SCCA Novice class, pylon racing at old WWII airstrips.
Jeez, that was more than half my life ago...
I had hair, I was overmuscled, and thought I would live forever. I seriously doubt that I will see 15% body fat ever again. T-shirts were white or tie-dyed. That chowderhead Jimmy Cotta was President, but as I recall, My Man Ronald Reagan was my Governor.
I totally pi$$ed away my '20's.
I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
Pic file is too large to post- click on my "camera" icon.

The temp just hit 60 degrees, one of my Horses is here to spit-shine Gunrack, and I'm gonna hit the highway for probably the last time this year.
I love my little blue car.
Helleshin, everybody loves my little blue car.
Except the two new city cops. They don't understand that my BH calculates their paychecks.
Because of the roads in Oklahoma, and my sticky Nittos, I'll bet I have more rock chips than 'most everybody on this forum. I call them "freckles" or "battle damage."
...And I may hit 1,000 miles this afternoon.
Kristen, stay off topic.
PM me for recipes- I'm a gourmet cook.

UT,
It is another really nice day here today too. Now I know how Ernie feels except mine should just last a couple of weeks and he probably still won't have his motor back by then. I sit in the car and bounce up and down to pretend I am going around corners.
Fred,
I found a picture of the ramps with the car off that I will tack in here and you can see that they are clear all the way through. The carpet is for my comfort in Summer when I want to take a nap while working under the car.

I don't like Mondays, but dread Wednesday. That is the day I have to go to my doctor and pay him all that money to tell me that the results of my blood tests show that I still have blood. I know that as I proved it yesterday. Cut my wrist reaching back behind a tight spot and then had to clean blood up for what seemed like 10 minutes. It looked red to me, so as far as I am concerned that should be close enough.

Ron, I do the same thing, only on tuesdays, like tomorrow.
I have every intention on going to DVSF V. Just don't know who to take with me. Either the older son or the younger son, then there is my wife.
Mike, I was a professor of engineering and I can tell you we pick fridays so you don't have to worry the entire weekend about a test on Monday. It also gives you the week to ask questions and study.
Pete, I think it was the year before that!
Kristen, I think you should give the boy a Cobra kit. If he starts now, he could have it done by senior year in high school.
Now, about those fried rocks...

Did you have to study for that blood test?

Tru,
Think small 2 person trailer to tow behind the Cobra. Of course it must be made to look like a Cobra. Heck, save time and buy them a Cobra to drive back with you and everything will be fine.
Wayne,
No studying for blood tests. Just practicing to keep the screaming down to a minimum when I see the needles. Always did hate those things. My dentist tries to sneak up on me when he has to give me a shot to do some dental work. Also for any dentists out there. Do they teach in dental school that once you have a patients mouth full of everything that can be stuffed in it, you are supposed to start asking questions of said patient?

I wish I had your money. The older is starting college. I am broke. But, I am happy.
Yes. it's needles for me everytime as well. Worst is when they miss and you are brused.

Ron,
You're probably kidding about taking naps under the car but I actually do... I've got a creeper with a adjustable head rest and I've been know to close my eyes for more then just a few minutes under the car..

Al,
Actually I wasn't kidding. On some of those lazy type afternoons, when I decide to work some on the car I take some diet Pepsi and something to snack on while I lay on the creeper planning the most logical way to do something. I once slept over 4 hours while working under there. I figure that if I am asleep, I won't be breaking anything, and the carpet helps make it a little cooler.
