UT,
Thanks for the compliment on the car. That was taken at one of the main look outs for Shasta Lake and Dam. The mountian with the snow in the background is MT. Shasta and that is Shasta Lake you can see. The brush hid Shasta Dam.
I must admit that I liked our weather better than what you described. But it is raining lightly here this morning and is supposed to continue right on through tomorrow. Not enough to help, but enough to make it to wet to do much.

gooodddnnnessss, glad that's over....
just got awakened a little while ago by little cobra girls screaming their heads off. The sweet sugar of Christmas didn't last long....
Hubby is doing his good deed for the day, and delivering "communion to the shut ins" at church- (your category Ron, just kidding, just kidding). Graham is asleep in his clothes on the sofa. Probably got his headphones glued to his ears. Peter never made it home last night; spent night at cousins. The house looks like a tornado path. Ugh.
UT: can't believe you came all the way to Dallas and didn't bring me the pizza you owe me.... Hope the day wasn't a total bust... I spent the day at inlaws, and by 6 pm was looking at hubby, get me out of here!!! Left by 8??
I did have a piece of pecan pie for dinner, in bed, at 8:30! Best part of the day... then the munchins came home...
Regarding the directions: I'm not the kinda girl that uses them myself, but yes, at some point it doesn't hurt to get a starting point... and if ya'll go to Target and see this thing, the box alone is 2x3x2, you'd cut me a little slack... Bratz girl condo is assembled, and nothing was missing and nothing is broken! Hubby got the bike, and he bought it assembled. cheater....
Well, well, well, what did I get, Tru? you ask? From 2 boys, to CD's. very nice. from 2 girls, cute "fake" jewelry, very sweet and fun as they actually went and picked it out...
From hubby? nothing yet!.... but we know what...
my sister in law (from hell, I mean, Houston) asked what he got me, and I said well I hadn't gotten it yet, but it was coming.... Of course she looked puzzled, and hubby said "she wants tools - like a lift and tools to work on her car". She said "Kristen you are so weird - why not something normal like a coat?" (that's what she got...)
So far, I've gotten 2 pairs of jammies, and i know one more is coming.... year for pajamas!
So, where's Mikie this morning? Still sleeping? He's got nearly 30 posts on me... oh well, guess I'll probably lose that challenge; that's ok.... ultimately I win, CAUSE I GOT THE COBRA!
So, Tru, that big box was yours with the bore sighter in it? Good for you... I don't know what that is, but guess it's for the car???
Guess it could be a bore sighter for a rifle, shotgun, maybe... maybe not... haha
impressed Ron that you could change out the carb and go for a quicky ride. not sure yet where the carb is, but I'll look it up... is that what's under the air filter and turkey pan? Something about the air flow?
Hope you guys feel good today, and you get some R&R.
Hey, Mike whatdya get??
talk to ya'll later.

Kristen,
Yes the carb is the thing that the air cleaner sits on and fastens to. And it is inside the turkey pan. They aren't difficult to take off and on. I think it takes me about 10 minutes and that is because I am careful to not spill any gas. Glad that your Christmas turned out so great. As for you sister in law, how did she lean that you are werid so fast. Took most of us a month or so to realize it.
Tru,
Glad that you got the bore sighter. Please explain to Kristen where you are going to mount it on the Cobra. And the last bird that tangled with the Cobra is sorry for doing it. No poop, just miles of guts and feathers. I have twin pusher fans and he decided to fly into the air intake and fight with the fans.
And for anythat think they may have over ate, I beieve I must have gained at least 10 pounds. Boy, do I hate the morning after a pig out. Ate alost 2 pounds of ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, various salads, and then topped that off with two pieces of pumpkin pie. I just discovered a new meaning to misery.
UT,
There is a river a few miles from here where every year the salmon come to die. Talk about a stench. We drove over last Summer and looked at thousands of them laying dead in the shallow water, some huge ones. There are so many of them that even the vultures and other animals quit eating after a day or so.

hey, Mike! good for you! What color is the Cobra? what scale? 1:1 ??!! just kidding.... Regarding the digital camera: I use mine strictly for Cobra type stuff, and computer use.... The memory sticks are kinda pricey, so here is a piece of advice:
After each event I attend, I take the MS to walmart, or such, and put it in their machine. I print only the pics from that event, and then I have them to enjoy. I delete the bad photos, and then eventually the memory stick is full. I then take the full MS to lab, and have them burn a CD. If there are any pics I missed I'll have them printed, but for the most part I'm just burning the CD. My MS holds around 150 pics, and if you wait until it is full to print all at once, it gets pretty expensive. Also, it could take a while to fill up the stick... I bring the cd home, and make sure it pulls up on the computer. THEN I delete off the MS. Don't delete any pics until you KNOW it'll come up on the computer! Nothing worse than deleting the MS, and the CD not work... This way you don't have a lot of money tied up in memory sticks. I have a small quantity m stick I keep handy, just in case I haven't taken the full MS to the lab. Anyway, keeps costs down, and works for me! I do print some at home, but since the printer and inks on home computers are not proven for longevity, I prefer to take the MS to the lab, and run it thru their chemicals. I feel this process will ensure my pics last longer....
If that sounds too complicated, sorry!
off to start cleaning the war zone....

If I can figure out how to do it, I'll post.
BTW- The Cobra is authorized by Carroll Shelby, does that make it a replica, clone, or reproduction?

64mg? Are you referring to medicinal quantities, or a '64 MG, like in the car, or 64 megs of memory? And what, pray tell, is "PNY 256"? Memory, also? I remember when computers had 256 of memory. 256K, that is....

Kristen,
Why don't you print your own pictures and put them on CDs? I love my CHEAP, (read that can't afford a better one) Olympus 4000 Zoom. I change the resolution to accomodate what ever I am taking pictires of. I have 16MB, 64MB, and 128MB Smart Memory Cards, and using the resolution that I normally use I can get from 14 to 19 pictures on the small card. Most I ever took at one time was at a car meet and I took almost 100 pictures. Took about 10 minutes to download them into the computer. I then put on CD or DVD all the good pictures that I want to keep. And I print out lots of them. I have some that are over 10 years old and they are still as good as any that I ever got from the camera shops when I used my 35MM Nikons and had them make the prints.
Mike,
Is that red Cobra the 1964 289 with the hard top? I also have the 1962 detailed CSX2000, which is polished like they did it for the first publicity shots and it is really great. You can even remove the wheels and put the spare on. I try to collect a lot of the Shelby die cast stuffbut so far have drawn the line at the $1,000 dollar, 12 pound pewter model of the Daytona Coupe.

Ron, how do you change the resolution? Probably under the menu on the camera.... Haven't taken the time to change resolution. Would be a good idea to do, as some pics are too big to post on here. I guess that's when going to a smaller resolution would be good- to post straight from camera to thread... otherwise their too big. I just trust the old fashioned way with the photo paper going thru the chemicals at the lab to "set" the color. It seems cheap enough to me, and like I said, I only use the digital camera for car type stuff. still have my Canon for "real" photos. Real film. I know, I know, within 5 years film/cameras will be obsolete. I'll be so sad then. I do print from the computer occasionally. They are getting so good at the cameras and printers (like Mike got) nowadays that I'm sure at some point I'll trust them enough to use it exclusively.
I really like the paper at my CVS lab, too. Very smooth, and seems quality.
gotta go, I'm sorry to say, and get to work! I'll check in later, tho'. )

Kristen,
On my camera you do everything under a ton of menus. I printed out the instructions and they were 205 pages. I take my pictures in what they call HQ JPG format and the average picture depending on background runs from750K to around 850K. I don't use the BMP format at all and for fun I took one picture with the TIFF format. Gads, that darn picture was 15 1/2 MBs in size. Would have been great if you were printing a poster. As for downsizing them to post, you can do that with the camera or a photo program, which is what I prefer. That way you can clean up the picture some if it is to dark or light or has other blemishes. I have 24 different settings for resolution in my camera.
Also can take moving pictures with it as long as the memory card lasts. About the only things I haven't tried are the moving pictures and sound options and also the panorama and two pictures in one options. My printer has slots for all the types of memory cards and sticks and I can look at the pictures with the printer and print directly from the card or send them to the computer or put them on-line. But my computer also has all the card slots in the front and I use them as it is so much faster. And remember, I just have a cheap camera. All of the high end ones have tons of stuff that mine doesn't but mine does what I want and that is good for me. I do miss the exchangeable lens and longer zooms, but can live with that.
