Ron, Driving in 40 weather is out of the question. I don't want ice to form on my facial hair.

Mike, you'll get that in time.

We have to play for semi finals tonight. I hope the boys are ready to rock and roll.

I am going to do the warm up and car check this morning, let the cobra breath for about 20 to 30 minutes.

Kristen, did they give you some sort of date as to when your car will be finished?????

"You shot at me with your eyes closed???"

tru, no, no date. The transmission is at David Kee in San Antonio. I guess when it gets sent back, Rob will just put it all back together. Rob says nothing else needs to be done, (well duh, I've had it in the shop 3 times getting all the little things fixed!!!!) so, hopefully David Kee will send it back quickly; rebuilt. They know I must have it for Austin, in March. I sure would like to have it well before then, so I can clean it up!
what does "you shot at me with your eyes closed???" mean?
Did I miss something??
Getting ready to leave for church/scout sunday.
Talk to ya'll later....
Kristen

Yea Ron, Speedweeks, bikeweek, spring brake, they all get a little wild. Daytona's normal population only happens about 2 months out of the year, otherwise we have a huge influx.

Earl,

Well the race just ended. Now you will have a few hours of silence maybe. A couple of the NASCAR drivers did ok in the DP class.

It's a line out of an old western.

I am posting a request to help Mike.

Cool

Tru,

How is that line going to help Mike get his Cobra?

Weather is a little cool here today and somewhat overcast. Clear down into the low 50s. Forecast now says rain tomorrow.

Need to mow again but am putting it off. When I do and it rains the next day the grass grows twice as fast.

It doesn't help Mike.

I was watching a movie and that was the last line before I finished my post.

You act like you are the only one that can be nuts.

Ran the cobra for about 20 minutes. She's still healthy.

Tru,

Just 20 minutes. You should have driven it about 20 miles at a fair speed to make sure everything was good and warm. Of course you probably would be a little cool when you got back.

Mike can order a set of blue prints for an original 427 Cobra frame from Cobra Restorers if he wants them. They do a lot of work on originals and make all the body panels too if you need some. But their prices are high.

Ron

Oh, yea, it is 59 here right now.

Hmmm, if we decide to make a frame to original specs the Kirkham body will mount up to it........right?

Just wait. It is working itself down to the 5 degrees slowly. Maybe 50 today and 20 tomorrow.

I have a farm. It needs to be dry on the DIRT roads to be able to take her out for a spin.

Did you guys catch Dean's poor mans lift???? Very nice.

I am thinking Barn #2 needs a short lift.

Tru,

I looked at Dean's lift this morning and it is a good set up. Kind of like the one the guy I posted over there made, except Jim had to have everything so exact. He loves to tinker and make stuff. Sold his 2000 Corvette after a month because he couldn't find anything to re-engineer on it.

Mike,

That is great news about the frame. As for washing the truck, it is 56 here and to cold for me to wash my Comet.

Ok Mike, how about just down to 10 degrees. Washing your truck will assure you of bad weather. Why do you think I don't wash the Comet?

Ron, washing the truck means GOOD weather, whenever I hand wash it it means that we're going to a car show (which is sunny weather ) and so far, it has never let me down. I wash it REALLY good whenever we go to Cobra Carlisle. I CANNOT WAIT FOR CAR SHOW SEASON!!!!!!!!
