I guess now would not be a good time to bring up her experiences with Pepe on top of the Dallas 'High Five'.

Can't quite believe the're for real.......
QANTAS PILOTS AND MECHANICS
Introduction
After every flight, pilots fill out a form called a gripe
sheet, which conveys to the mechanics problems encountered with the aircraft during the flight that need repair or correction.
The mechanics read and correct the problem, and then respond in
writing on the lower half of the form what remedial action was taken, and the pilot reviews the gripe sheets before the next flight.
Never let it be said that ground crews and engineers lack a sense of
humour!
Here are some actual logged maintenance complaints and problems as
submitted by QANTAS pilots and the solution recorded by maintenance engineers.
By the way, QANTAS is the only major airline that has never had a
major accident.
Key
P = The problem logged by the pilot.
S = The solution, and action taken by the engineers.
- P: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement.
- S: Almost replaced left inside main tire.
- P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough.
- S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft.
- P: Something loose in cockpit.
- S: Something tightened in cockpit.
- P: Dead bugs on windshield.
- S: Live bugs on back-order.
- P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear.
- S: Evidence removed.
- P: DME volume unbelievably loud.
- S: DME volume set to more believable level.
- P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick.
- S: That's what they're there for.
- P: IFF inoperative.
- S: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode.
- P: Suspected crack in windshield.
- S: Suspect you're right.
- P: Number 3 engine missing.
- S: Engine found on right wing after brief search.
- P: Aircraft handles funny.
- S: Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right, and be serious.
- P: Target radar hums.
- S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics.
- P: Mouse in cockpit.
- S: Cat installed.
- P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget
pounding on something with a hammer.
- S: Took hammer away from midget.

Big Guy,
That is funny, and I remember it from years ago. However, Qantas lost their spotless record in '99.

Wow, Rick! Glad to have you back! Haven't seen you around here since page 4. Thanks for the foresight to start a chat room on cc. You are soo smart. And it seems I've been appointed moderator of this thread in your absence, too. Guess I can moderate JUST FINE without the #@*(^ ring!!!
Clay, you are quite good at finding just the right airplane pic. Mike, yikes! there you are, right in my rearview mirror....

The Seinfeild of threads. As long as this is about nothing, it will live. Bring up Shelby or engine sizes or ................... IT DIES
Glad to see a woman moderator in a male dominated world.

Kristen,
Decoder rings are reserved for the GOD order moderators. You are just a trainee at this time.
At 80 years old, George went for his annual physical.
All of his tests came back with normal results.
Dr. Smith said, "George, everything looks great physically.
How are you doing mentally and emotionally?
Are you at peace with yourself, and do have a good relationship with
God? George replied, "God and me are tight.
He knows I have poor eyesight, so, he's fixed it so that when I get
up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom (poof) the light goes
on, when I'm done (poof) the light goes off."
"Wow!" commented Dr. Smith, "That's incredible!"
A little later in the day Dr. Smith called George's wife. "Ethel,"
he said, "George is doing fine. Physically he's great. But, I had to call because I'm in awe of his
relationship with God. Is it true that he gets up during the night and (poof) the light
goes on in the bathroom, and then when he is through (poof) the light goes off?"
Ethel exclaimed, "Oh, my God! He's peeing in the refrigerator again!"

Welcome back Rick. Look at what you did. So, tell us about your fertilizer ( crap ).
Now we have Kristen running the show and ALL of the rocks and cheese have left. I think they went to Turk's house.
This working for a living really sucks.
"I don't want to design cars any more. I want to go outside and play with the corvettes."
Kristen, if you get the blue ring, what ever you do, don't drink the water.

Kristen,
You are probably to young to remember the decoder rings that you used to get so you could tell what the heros in your favorite TV show were talking about. Believe it or not, they did once have black and white TV only!
Anyway this decoder ring is to let you know what Turk is saying. Do you really want to know?? And please get off the TOPIC of rings. You are starting a trend.

I don't need no stinkin' ring.
If I remember back to my infancy I kind of do remember b/w t.v. (slam bam theater)
What I really remember is sitting on the floor in the den at my parents house, and having to be the "flipper" for my dad's 5 channel tv surfing!! Big RCA color console tv, but no remote!!!
Probably a 20" screen!! maybe 25. who knows??
I am NOT on topic!

Wow, 5 channels. The first TV I ever saw was about the size of a small refrigerator and had a screen that I think was around 3 inches square. It would receive 1 channel and most of another. No remote either. I saw more snow on that thing than you could see walking outside and watching the snow fall. And by the way, it had to be on top of a mountain to get any reception at all.
Weather here has turned again and it is now cold and windy with some rain forecast, so I guess I won't be out doing much today. I did start and run the 69 Cobra yesterday evening for a while until all the fluids warmed up. Afraid to drive it to fast on those 36 year old tires.
