And there was this time in 1970 driving through Dumas, TX in the middle of the night in my '68 GTO. He said the light was red, I said it wasn't; he asked if I wanted to go to jail. I was right, so I said lead on. He did. I finally realized it was Friday night on a three day weekend. He won.

Where's Evan when you need him?
Turk: Have those illegal immigrants started making those bumper stickers yet? I keep popping in here waiting to see a price for them so I can place an order.

Not yet.
We ran out of our best seller so I had to place a large order ahead of any other. The one that says, "What is an SPF"?
You want one?

I also hate that Coddington show. It could be better though if his ex-wife, who also works there would walk on and just slap Blue-bear silly.

Mike,
One moderator is enough. Just sit back and enjoy all of the SNOW that you are going to have. Gee, this 60 degree weather makes me feel kind of left out. But I will let you have all of the SNOW as we had our 10 year quota last January.
Kristen,
What do you mean no stripping on this sthread? Or were you talking about the cars ? Christmas is soon going to be here. Are you ready????

Interesting. My wife has placed a rather large box in the living room where the tree goes and it is gift wrapped. After interrigating the kids, I found that it is intended for me. HMMM....
It is heavy and sounds like it is metalic. I think it is about fifty pounds. There are no rolling parts that make a noise when shaken ( try shaking a fifty pound box quickly so your wife does not see you ).
So, I could not get it out to the truck this morning to have it x-rayed, she appears to be guarding it. However, there is the possiblility of removing the wrapping and then tapping it back up, except she has used strapping tape and she will know.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm............................
There is nothing like a good present still wrapped to take your mind off the white stuff.
Okay Rick, what is the story? Is there something we can do to help with the KAKA problem? Come on, it's the least we can do for giving us this wonderful thread.

Nope, nothing any one can do about the kaka. Life happens. The good news is the wife and children are safe, not at risk of loosing my home and most importantly, I don't have to sell the Cobra

Tru,
Boyd Coddington built street rods here in Calif. for many people and was considered one of the better ones I think. I am not sure but I think he built one for Tim Allen to take to the Okland Roadster Show a few years ago. A few guys here ordered special wheels from him as one offs, for ridiculous prices. Not sure of the whole story, but think he was titling some of his cars illegally and the state closed him down and seized some of the cars. I may be wrong on a lot of this as I never paid a lot of attention to him, since I had nothing to do with street rods. Really the only thiing I have seen of his except on TV was the wheels these guys got. Some of the rest can give you the full story and facts much better.
But since they are talking about a Coddington Show, that may be a completely different Coddington.

Turk: A bumper sticker that explained what a SPF is would be terrific (I get tired of doing it). I get asked a lot due to my plate being "SPF1245". I'm looking to get new plates this spring ("UNREAL" ...if available)
I can see why those sold out so quickly since there are 2000+ of us on the road!
I'll take 2 please.
Now back to the topic.....................(this IS a "chat room" isn't it?)

Two aliens landed in the New Mexico desert near a gas station that had been closed for the night. They approached one of the gas pumps and the younger of the two aliens addressed it. "Greetings, Earthling. We come in peace. Take us to your leader."
The gas pump (of course) didn't respond. The younger alien started to get mad at the lack of response and the older one said, "I wouldn't do that if I were you."
The younger alien ignored the warning and repeated the greeting. Again, there was no response. Annoyed by what he perceived to be the pump's haughty attitude, he drew his ray gun and said impatiently, "Greetings Earthling. We come in peace. Do not ignore us in this way! Take us to your leader, or I will fire."
The older alien again warned his comrade, "You don't want to do that; You really don't want to make him mad!"
"Rubbish," replied the younger alien. He aimed his weapon at the pump and fired. There was a huge explosion. A massive fireball roared outwards and towards them and blew the younger alien off his feet and deposited him in a burnt and crumpled mess 200 yards away in a cactus patch.
Thirty-five Earth minutes later, when he finally regained consciousness, refocused his three eyes and straightened his bent antenna, he looked dazedly up at the wiser one, who was standing over him, slowly shaking his big green head.
"What a ferocious creature," said the young fried one. "It damn near killed us! How did you know it was so dangerous?"
The older alien leaned over, placed a friendly feeler onto the crispy, peeling flesh and shared some knowledge. "If there's one thing I've learned during my travels through the galaxy," said the wise old alien. "When a guy has a peni$ he can wrap around himself twice and then stick it in his ear, you don't mess with him."

Based on their usual crap on that show I'm sure this was scripted and rehearsed to add some drama... He'll make a triumphant return like Bobby Ewing did on Dallas.
Personally, I think the only reason he got the job in the first place was that he's Boyt's boy friend or something....

I also noticed that the only "normal" guy on the Coddington show (the paint and body man) was now working for Chip Foose.

A perfect day. Temperature is 66 and there is a light warm breeze blowing. Just perfect for driving and I don't have my carb back yet. Wonder if I can make the 2 barrel off the Comet work. This is just one of those perfect days. No SNOW
