Ron, are you trying to introduce rats into this topicless thread?
I wish I had Kristen's money, I'd have a green house.
So, it's going to be a robust 13 tomorrow, think I'll put on a jacket.

Tru,
If I had Christen's money, I would have a palace in Monoco. Maybe visit here once in a while.
It it's going to be all the way up to 13 tomorrow you should be wearing a short sleeve shirt. It was 30 here this mornng with ice on the grass, but is supposed to be in the mid 50s this afternoon. We are having a break between storms as they say another one will be here Friday night.

Thanks Ron, I was just trying to poke a little fun at CBS and their credibility issue. I hope they get a break in the weather soon.

With all of the attention to the fling that I can muster, I plan to attend. Got to make sure I'm not in China.
Hoping Ron will make the trip. It would be good to see Ron? Clay? Mikie? Earl? UT? Rick? ( got to thank him for starting the chatroom ).
I hope to take my son, but am not sure. Hockey may not allow him to be there.
You????

If the fling actually happens, I'm sure I'll be there. DV has a lot on his mind with his daughter's health issue, which has posted here.
But Ron brought up "Rolling Rocks," a really good thirst quencher.......

Clay,
California is famous for rolling rocks. After every llittle earthquake we have to watch it when on the mountain roads around here. I keep looking for the 35 pound gold nugget to roll down onto the road, but no luck yet.
When they decide what they are going to try to do about the Western Cobra get together, maybe I can see about what I can work in. My problem is I sold my enclosed trailer a long time ago and now have no trailer or nothing to pull one with.
Tru,
Go to China now while it is Winter. Then you can have the Spring and Summer to play.

Kristen:
Planning on giving the new Serpent Express trailer a work out and bring the little red car to the fling from Oregon. Four days travel there, 3 days at the fling, 2 days visiting relatives in Cleveland and then 4 days back. A real test for the trailer, the car, my wife, me and the marriage.

Clay,
Thanks for explaining that. Now I know a little of what your talking about. Not a lot, but there is a glimmer.
Now I have spent the past 30 minutes doing a 5 minute job. I changed the voltage regulator on my 65 Comet. It couldn't be located at an easier place unless they put it out on top of the hood. It is in the upper left hand corner on the front and easily accessible. During this complicated process, I managed to smash my thumb, cut a place on the back of my hand, hit my head on the hood, and skin a big place on my knee by hitting the inside door handle on the drivers side with it. Mind you, this involved taking out 2 screws and unplugging the plug. And everything is right there easy to get to. Do you have any complicated jobs that you need help with? I could probably kill myself doing something complicated today.

Kristen,
You want white letters that stay white. Well these are going on 36 years old.

Ron, if those are really 36 years old, I don't think I'd be driving on them above 35 mph or so. The reason DOT puts date codes on modern tires these days, is that after 5 years, the rubber starts to breakdown and essentially rot. Even it they're not showing signs of wear or cracking, it's still an issue.

You could also buy them at Coker Classic (I believe they bought the orginal molds off of the mfgs and started producing them.) Does this mean these tires are "real" or "replica?"
Kristen, I MIGHT be able to go, I know I wouldn't be able to go with "pops" because he will be working on the house pretty much every weekend this spring-summer.

Clay,
Those are the original tires that came on the 69 Torino Cobra. And I don't drive fast with them. No way am I going to chance one of them exploding when I am going down the highway at a high speed. They have been treated all these years and are still very plyable, but not trust worthy for high speeds. I keep them on for shows. Most people now never saw any like them it seems.
Mike,
You can get the REPLICAS from Coker, but they are mostly radial now and just made to look like the original Bias Plys. Also cost for one what 5 used to cost.
Also I finally saw a copy of Hot Rod Magazine with the Cobra in it and they messed up. I don't know where they got that picture from as I had to look a long time and finally figured out that it was taken in my driveway. And that would have been 5 or 6 years ago. and at no time did I ever tell anyone that it has a 427 in it. The rest of the write up was pretty accurate. Must have gotten it from whoever put the car in the Hemmings On Line car show a few years ago and I knew anothing about that either until someone told me. The only people who have ever talked to me about the car are the president of the Fairlane Club of America and a guy from some other car magazine that I can't remenber.
