sorry, clay. did not mean to make light of his situation. With his ears stopped up, and getting out of a hot shower, I was thinking his balance may have just been messed up. Yes, Mike, it wouldn't hurt to get it checked out. See how you're feeling tomorrow. Take it easy at the drag races. Not kidding about the ear plugs!!!

Kristen, it never occurred to me that you were taking it lightly. But I appreciate you reinforcing to Mike that he needs to call a Doc. and talk about what happened.

Clay, I always listen to my elders, they have been around longer than me, and they have more expirience and knowledge than I do, so I am always up for a a piece of advice from an elder.

Kristen,
Those are great pictures and the girls are really cute. You look great in the Cobra too.
Mike, always listen to the advise of people like Clay and others that know about these things. Besides anyone younger than you wouldn't be able to talk yet and you couldn't get advise from them. I have a real problem with an inner ear infection that my sinuses will cause and it sounds as if that is almost the same symptoms that you had. I have had to go to my doctor several times because of this and it is very unpleasant.

Senior Moments
An elderly Floridian called 911 on her cell phone to report that
her car has been broken into. She is hysterical as she explains her
situation to the dispatcher: "They've stolen the stereo, the steering wheel, the brake pedal and even the accelerator!" she cried. The dispatcher said, "Stay calm. An officer is on the way" A few minutes later, the officer radios in.
"Disregard," He says. "She got in the back-seat by mistake."
Three sisters ages 92, 94 and 96 live in a house together. One
night the 96 year old draws a bath. She puts her foot in and pauses. She yells to the other sisters, "Was I getting in or out of the bath?" The 94 year old yells back, "I don't know. I'll come up and see." She starts up the stairs and pauses. "Was I going up the stairs or down?" The 92 year old is sitting at the kitchen table having tea listening to her sisters. She shakes her head and says, "I sure hope I never get that forgetful, knock on wood."
She then yells, "I'll come up and help both of you as soon as I see who's at the door."
* * * * *
Three retirees, each with a hearing loss, were playing golf one
fine March day. One remarked to the other, "Windy, isn't it?" "No," the
second man replied, "it's Thursday." And the third man chimed in, "So am I. Let's have a beer."
* * * * *
A little old lady was running up and down the halls in a nursing home.
As she walked, she would flip up the hem of her nightgown and say,
"Supersex." She walked up to an elderly man in a wheelchair. Flipping
her gown at him, she said, "Supersex." He sat silently for a moment or two and finally answered, "I'll take the soup."
* * * * *
An older couple were lying in bed one night. The husband was
falling asleep but the wife was in a romantic mood and wanted to talk. She said, "You used to hold my hand when we were courting." Wearily he reached across, held her hand for a second and tried to get back to sleep. A few moments later she said, "Then you used to kiss me." Mildly irritated, he reached across, gave her a peck on the cheek and settled down to sleep. Thirty seconds later she said, "Then you used to bite my neck" Angrily, he threw back the bed clothes and got out of bed. "Where are you going?", she asked.
"To get my teeth!"

Well, The boys have a sweep going for the weekend hockey tournament.
Kristen, you are going to need a big fnece around the yard with cute darlings like those. The boys are going to be hanging on the gate to the ranch.
Ron, well, got 4 of the eight items fixed. I may not have time to finish them this weekend. Reverse trick is where you put reverse in the lower left corner of the shift pattern instead of the upper left corner. Suposed to go to 73 today.
Got to leave for another game, see you all later.

Tru,
Hope that you get the rest fixed quickly. But why do you want reverse in the lower left corner? My 69 has it from the factory that way and I don't like it. The tendency when shifting from 1st to 2nd is for me to slightly pull the shift lever toward me and of course that means trying to go into reverse. I liked my 65 that had it in the left upper corner better. And it also had the T-Bar lockout. My 5 speed has it in the lower right hand corner, so that is no problem. Temperature here was 80 yesterday and looks as if could hit that today.
Hope the boys do well in the hockey tournament. Kristen is going to need an electric fence with big, bad dogs trained to hate boys in a couple of years.

Kristen,
Sorry about that. I was so busy thinking of all the fun you will have keeping the boys away from your daughters that I just glanced at the bottom picture. And you are correct. I had taken my glasses off.

Yes, it is a glorious day.
I hope I find that the sending unit on my speedo is fixable.
Kristen, I was talking about your two daughters. They are cuties.
New fan is so quiet, I almost put my fingers in it.
Ron, I would like to remove the tendency to put the car in reverse over first gear. It is just a matter of preference.
Four things left on the list of eight. I am making it happen.

You hope the sending unit is fixable? Are you kidding me? I laughed when I read that because I know YOU could make a new sending unit out of a paperclip and a piece of fuzz. Just whip one out Tru!
What shifter are you using? Stock shifter, or a Hurst? I'm using a Hurst Comp with a David Kee 427 handle....I think it would be almost impossible for me to get reverse when I meant 1st. First gear is easy....but if I wanna go into reverse, I have to give it an extra slap over to the left....and then I can go up. It's unmistakeable.
So how's that axle seal doing? I found some pics of when I was assembling my rearend....want me to send you a couple when I get home?

Tru,
I am sure that you can fix the sending unit for your speedo. As for the reverse thing, you are correct that it is a matter of preference. I am just down shifting and shifting into 2nd more than 1st. I still liked my 65 that had the T-Bar on the handle. Only way to get it into reverse was to pull the T-Bar upward.
My 69 has the reverse back down on the left next to 2nd. But another thing to remember is the linkage back then was sloppy compared to todays, and I won't update it because I want to keep it the way it came. Every time I drive that one, I have to learn how to shift all over again.

Little Mike- it's "Ragtop Fever."
Like malaria, it's incurable and expensive to treat.
Example: Local Ford dealer finally got in an '05 ragtop Mustang.
(My dream Mustang is an '05 ragtop, dark metallic blue, white stripes, Ford makes one. Guess why I'm in love.)
The one in stock is red, tan top, but it's a GT.
Try $33K sticker.
No way in hell.
Price 'way cool used Cobras on this and other sites!
A V-6 AOD ragtop is $26K.
A V-6 coupe is #21K.
The '03 vert stays in the family for a while.
Time for a programmer, architectural window tint (illegal) and maybe new rims, the Eagles are looking tacky and won't hold a polish.
Gunrack is in the engine shop, carb, timing, ignition tweaks.
On the road maybe next week.
I'll PM you with pics of new women on board and new rims.

UT,
Mustangs are alot cheaper where you live than here. I visited the local
Ford dealer here in Kailua because he had a GT40 on display.
2005 Mustang GT hardtop: $35k + $4k "dealer adjustment" = $39k
2005 Mustang GT ragtop: $39k + $7k = $46k
And last but not least 2005 GT40: $155k + $134k "dealer ad on" $289k.
They do these "dealer adjustments" a lot here. Ouch!
