Gary- you sound so sad... I saw that you've already cancelled your reservations and all. Couldn't just take the 'daily driver' for the trip, instead??? Enjoy a weekend away??
oh well. your posts just sounded kinda defeated. I hope you're able to get it fixed quickly, easily and cheaply.
Good luck.....
Kristen

Yeah, cold. Steve, you're making me jelous (sp?). Only 95* yesterday. Low of 64* and a high of 91* today. I miss Wisconsin right about now.

Hey I had to turn the heater on in the house.
This is MAY, in TEXAS, for goodness sakes.
We went to our daughters softball game the other night and I had to pull out the big coat. When we were at the game you could see the girls breath on the field. They had those visor type hats on that are open on the top. You could see the top of their little heads smoking. It was kinda funny to look at. I told the blue they were all mad at the way he was calling the game. LOL

Sounds like they were playing hard at least. Texas isn't sounding bad either. Heard on the radio this morning that Ca was #10 on the top 10 most dangerous states.
Mom and Dad said they had snow in SW Wisconsin over the weekend.

I keep a blanket in the back of my car for all the cold nights we end up at the ball fields. It could be 90* at 2 oclock, and then by game time, 7 + or so, down in the 50's. I hear ya steve-- it was really chilly the other night!!
I'm concerned about Ron. Where is he???
I called Earl this afternoon. He sounded chipper (!) and said he's doing ok. Getting to eat solid food today. Hopes to go home on Friday. There is a computer in his room that the nurses use, but so far he hasn't been able to bribe any of them to let him use it!! He was really glad about his build party the other day, and actually ran out of things for the group to do! He'll spend the next few weeks gathering more things for the build, for when he feels better.
He said he didn't mind me posting his update. (I asked, in case any of ya'll thought it might be insensitive of me to post about something off forum) Ron called him monday, or tuesday, not sure! So, glad that Ron is somewhere. Just don't know where.....
maybe he's flying to Florida as we speak.....
gotta go start dinner.
Cya. (borrowing my kids lingo....)

Thanks for noticing!
I whipped that little number up in about five minutes! ALL on this thread! No cutting or pasting! lol!!!
I keep trying to find time to graph out a cobra snake, like on the Mustang Cobras, but never seem to find the time!
Cloudy here in L.A. today, RAIN off and on thru the weekend. Temps from high 60's to low 50's...good Cobra weather!

I know we don't have to have to have the Cobra there, but we were really looking forward to going, the drive there and all. And for me meeting up with people I met @ Fling III and introducing my lovely wife.
Fling III our SPF lost the rearend about 2 weeks before I had planned on leaving here to drive there....by the time I got the car back I wouldn't have been able to make it there until sometime on Sat. so I just flew out....and missed not having the car all weekend while I was there.
We talked it over pro and con and decided not to go. Maybe next year. Sure hope it is a good event.

COLD!!!!
How in the world do you call 64...cold?
Now 34 in the morning is "a chill". Ice on the windshield is cold.
Sorry Gary is not doing the car show.
Where is everyone?

I guess you northern guys got it bad, huh.
Come on down to Texas and warm up. I was cold all day yesterday. I suppose you are used to it though. Not me.
Of course I will be complaining in August that is is too hot. But 110* is hot no matter where you live.
Hey Kristen:
When do the tires come in.

dunno. forgot to ask. they are in stock, so not having to wait for back order. that's good.
fedex, I believe. I would expect the next couple of weeks, and then I can take them to get mounted, balanced and safety wired. Gary will help me out with that.
I just need to make sure all is well by Tulsa. After the tires arrive, I'll scrape off the sprayed on lettering, and do the job right- but only on the goodyear, not eagle....
After David Kee rebuilt the tranny, Rob (@KCM) said I needed to come back in at 500 miles and have everything looked at. So, I'll make a quick trip to Plano one day, and have everything gone over. If I need a safety inspect then, they can do it. Haven't looked at the registration stuff for Tulsa. The track stuff isn't too bad. Last year I was so ignorant; just showed up and paid at the door. Guess I need to take a little better look....
Same for London. I'll probably book a room/register, but knowing I may not make it. Never hurts to be prepared.
Kristen
hey, Tru--- how about that info I was looking for??
Where's Ron? Mike? haven't heard from Clay, or UT in a long time.

Trularin, I remember scraping ice off the inside of the back window in a couple cars back in the midwest.
In case your post about 64* not being cold was in response to mine, it was sarcasm. It doesn't get cold here. Chilly enough to require a jacket (not a coat) at night sometimes. Never not shorts weather.
Now I am getting homesick again.

Finally able to get back to bugging everyone. It has not been a good last week and a half for me. But I think the worst is past.
It is Raining and COLD here today. Got clear down into the mid 50s last night. Most days are in the upper 70s to low 80s now even with the rain. Great driving weather except for rain.
Hope to hear from Earl and how he is doing soon. Boy, everyoine seems to be having problems. Tru and snow, Brent and heat. All the Texans have it made as they seem to have both.
Ron
