great pics Ron
Maybe they should fill up the mine with concrete. If it will contain Chernoble (sp) it should contain that. What ever it is.
Kristen,
Smile, It will do you good. I wish I could say something funny but only time will heal these types of wounds. God Bless you both.
Dang I miss my car.
What happened to lil Mike. He gone again?

Steve,
They have plugged a lot of the mines around here with concrete. They have a plug in that one but the rock is so porus and fractured in that mountain that it is like a sponge. They even tried shooting grout in under pressure, but the whole mountain is just one huge pile of fractured rock. Maybe one of the earthquakes will sink it. Our main fault line up here isn't very far from it and that is where most of our quakes originate. And of course they just keep making more cracks in the rock.

Hey Steve,
Thought I'd check in and saw your post.
Been kind of busy.
I have been sitting in the living room with a glass of iced tea watching my neighbor across the street mow their yard.
Then it got me to wondering if you and Ron were out in the yard doing the same. Looks hot out.

Next week we (I) get to use a wheel barrow to haul the concrete ("We" call it mud) into the forms while trying not to get within 1 foot of the forms (Closer than that and the weight of the stones causes the forms to "Collapse.") Hey, at least the money's good.
That falcon's still for sale... and I have access to two 351's, a 9" and 8.8" rearend...
Did I mention I want a Cobra... BADLY!?
Have fun in London!

Fred,
I spent all day Tuesday mowing and weed eating and I hope that now I am about done for the Summer. Heat is moving in and I really don't think we will have many more of these late rains. Now fire season starts for real.
Mike,
Look at hauling the concrete in wheel barrows as a health thing. Out here we use flexable hose to pump it into footings. They regulate the flow so they don't cause anything to shift. But just look at the muscles you are building up to carry that Falcon home. Buy both 351s and put one in each end.
Remember this when you get your car.

Steve,
I think it was you or Brent who said that your were getting a new puppy soon and this training picture made me think of it. I didn't go back and look as I can't remember how many pages ago it was. But this should help as you clean the carpet spots.

yes it was me.
We are having very good luck with the house training. Knock on wood.
Concrete is called mud here as well. Footing or footers either one.

I think that could very good for her to get away from the area and let her think.
I know I spent a couple of days thinking about everything when my mom died.
Well, we'll look for you.
We are going to leave this afternoon.

Steve,
This just happened to be in the paper this morning so I thought I would post it. This is one of the cheapest things they have done, but look at how they attact the problem. They haul the contaminated crap back up on the mountain, bury it again, and the rains come and wash all the toxic stuff right back down. Talk about brain dead politicians.

Yea, that is why I posted it. They have to wash the back hoe down well too or that crap will eat the metal up. They could use that mine to store nuclear waste in and not cause any more contamination. Makes me wonder what happened to the people that used to work in the mine all those years ago.
