Steve,
Thought I would update you on the thermal windows we talked about around a month ago.
I went with the company we checked out on the internet.

All my windows were replaced last week, including 3 baywindows.
They pretty much rebuilt the three baywindows.Only charged me for the cost of the lumber,as they said they would BEFORE they saw how much extra work was involved.

I went with the vinyl frames, low E+ glass with a grey tint.
MAN THEY WORK !!! Had to raise the tempt on the a/c,dropped the tempt 3* inside and a/c doesn't come on like it before.

THANKS for educating me on thermal windows !!! Your knowledge
and advise is solid.

They will only troubleshoot to a PC connected directly, but most providers now include a router with your deal. You are paying for the 1.5Mb (or whatever the case may be) throughput to your house and they don't mind much what you do with it from there aside from having a web server or something similar. Wired routers are pretty secure and wireless ones can be reasonably secure if you get a newer one.

I am sure someone else could 'splain it bester.

What do you mean better I only understood about half of what you said.

Fred,
Thanks. One thing I do know is how to keep a house cool efficiently and cost effectively. It took years to learn that but it has paid off several times. I am glad that company worked out for you and they did what they said they would do. Good labor is very hard to find in this business.

You pay for the service to the house so it is legal to have multiple computers sharing the service. How you connect those computers to share the service is usually with a router, wired or wireless. An improperly set up wireless router will allow someone near your house share your internet connection and possibly the information on your computers.

Hey, what is a good pickup (lead) for a Fender Strat? I want a good clean sound like Mark Knopfler.

Oh really
I guess I'll check into that before I set itup then, Thanks

My brother in law can play the (you know what) out of the elctric guitar and his favorite is the Fender Stratocaster. Listening to him play that thing will make your heart stop. He can make it talk to you like no one I have ever heard. He has several bands that he plays with, that he started and is on the radio quiet often. He recently played at a concert for the radio and when he started to play everyone started screaming like Hendix was on stage. Very, very fast with his fingers.

I will see if I can get in touch with him. PM me your phone number and maybe I can get hin to call you.

Next time you talk to him ask what a good mid-priced lead pickup is. I can play the crap (as in sounds like crap) out of a guitar

Actually, I play well enough that a new pickup would be noticable to me. No famous bands though.

Subject: $20.00

On their wedding night, the young bride approached her new husband and asked for $20.00 for their first lovemaking encounter. In his highly aroused state, her husband readily agreed.

This scenario was repeated each time they made love, for more than 30 years, with him thinking that it was a cute way for her to afford new clothes and other incidentals that she needed.

Arriving home around noon one day, she was surprised to find her husband in a very drunken state.

During the next few minutes, he explained that his employer was going through a process of corporate downsizing, and he had been let go. It was unlikely that, at the age of 59, he'd be able to find another position that paid anywhere near what he'd been earning, and therefore, they were financially ruined.

Calmly, his wife handed him a bank book which showed more than thirty years of steady deposits and interest totaling nearly $1 million. Then she showed him certificates of deposits issued by the bank which were worth over $2 million, and informed him that they were one of the largest depositors in the bank.

She explained that for the more than three decades she had "charged" him for sex, these holdings had multiplied
and these were the results of her savings and investments.

Faced with evidence of cash and investments worth over $3 million, her husband was so astounded he could barely speak, but finally he found his voice and blurted out, "If I'd had any idea what you were doing, I would have given you all my business!"

That's when she shot him.

You know, sometimes, men just don't know when to keep their mouths shut.

Earl, use your imagination.

Ron, I like that one. I remember one where the husband is driving a car and his wife is telling him how bad he is in bed and how she is having an affair and she was going to leave him. All the while he is driving faster and faster until he reaches over and pushes her seat belt release and hits a cement wall.

Tru,

Good one! I thought you were going to say he opened the door and pushed her out.

THE NEW ARK..

In the year 2005, the Lord came unto Noah, who was
now living in Goldendale, Washington, and said, "Once again, the earth has become wicked and I see the end of all flesh before me. Build another Ark and save two of every living thing along with a few good humans."

He gave Noah the blueprints, saying, "You have six
months to build the Ark before I will start the unending rain for 40 days and 40 nights".

Six months later, the Lord looked down and saw Noah
weeping in his yard . but no ark.

"Noah", He roared, "I'm about to start the rain!
Where is the Ark?"

"Forgive me, Lord," begged Noah. "But things have
changed I needed a building permit. I've been arguing with the inspector about the need for a sprinkler system. My neighbors claim that I've violated the neighborhood zoning laws by building the Ark in my yard and exceeding the height limitations. We had to go to the Development Appeal Board for a decision. Then the Department of Transportation demanded a bond be posted for the future costs of moving power lines and other overhead obstructions, to clear the passage for the Ark's move to
the sea.

I argued that the sea would be coming to us, but they would
hear nothing of it.

Getting the wood was another problem. There's a ban
on cutting local trees in order to save the spotted owl. I tried to
convince the environmentalists that I needed the wood to save the owls. But no go!

When I started gathering the animals, I got sued by
an animal rights group. They insisted that I was confining wild
animals against their will As well, they argued the accommodation was too restrictive and it was cruel and inhumane to put so many animals in a confined space.

Then the EPA ruled that I couldn't build the Ark
until they'd conducted an environmental impact study on your proposed flood.

I'm still trying to resolve a complaint with the
Human Rights Commission on how many minorities I'm supposed to hire for my building crew.

Also, the trades unions say I can't use my sons.
They insist I have to hire only Union workers with Ark building
experience.

To make matters worse, the IRS seized all my assets, claiming
I'm trying to leave the country illegally with endangered
species.

So, forgive me, Lord, but it would take at least ten
years for me to finish this Ark."

Suddenly the skies cleared, the sun began to shine,
and a rainbow stretched across the sky.

Noah looked up in wonder and asked, "You mean,
You're not going to destroy the world?".

"No," said the Lord. "The government beat me to it."

Tru,

I just finished going over the replica with Wet Paint. That is what I use on both of my cars. It takes me just about 30 minutes to do the whole car and wheels. Sure looks better cleaned and polished. I haven't did that for almost 8 months now. Just washed the windshield and wiped the bugs off before. I may go over it again before Saturday to get the deeper shine as that is our annual Cobnra Social.
How is yours coming along? About ready to drive again, I hope. Just take it easy on the 7500 RPM clutch dumping starts.
