Tru,
Most are cut and pastes. At the rate I type it would take me all day to type one that long in. A few of the shorter ones I do type, but I am the worlds slowest with a keyboard.
I thought that Earl might get a kick out of that one. I had another good one about a fighter piolit in training and why he crashed his plane but don't know where it is.
Steve,
Just read the news, especially the political pages. You will find more comedy in there than in anything else. The results aren't at all funny, but the people trying to justify their actions make great Sci Fi reading.

Yes I get a kick out of it sometimes
Look at this picture.
212lbs
7' 7" long catfish
caught in Barcelona, Spain
wrong format, I saw this in Yahoo pictures this morning. It is a monster catfish. Two guys are in the water with it holding on to it.
great picture
Ron,
Maybe you can get it somehow

Steve,
I saw it as it was on my home page when I logged on. That was a monster and I would be afraid to put my hand in that mouth. I have seen two that were over 200 pounds that they got out of the Mississippi River by going down and reaching back under the banks into holes and hooking them with big hooks. I wouldn't put my hand back in those places for all the fish in the world.

Wow. outside before 8, to polish wheels. Back in at 8:15. ugh. two down, two to go.....
it is sooo hot outside! Sweating before 9 am is just uncool.
the antisieze comes off really easily with the chrome wading stuff. Neverdull?? Polishes up quite nicely. Now if I could just repaint the tires by tomorrow.... nah, ain't gonna happen. And, washed up the sidepipes, but haven't repainted. Will get to that, too.
gotta go get the girls to cheer camp!

So, Kristen, You appear to be the only one in the chat room that is working on her car.
I picked last night. Getting close to the end of the berry season for us.
Not working on the car until...well, maybe tonight.
Just got three things left out of the 21 I started with.
1. New front tires.
2. Fix shifter.
3. Shift rods.
Then I will probably spend a day in detailing. Gonna try Ron's suggested Wet Paint.
Anyone else working on their cars???
What are ya doing???

Earl, do you need the swing down arm or the other one for the alternator?

Earl. I took a stock alternator arm and modified it a little and it worked great. I had to cut off one of the nippels and polish it back down. it took about an hour but it looked great.

Well I finished working on my car yesterday. Did the final wet paint thingy and then used Armor All on the inside of the front air intake as I don't have stainless in there and it makes the black fiberglass look wet and shiny. I really need to get the dust off the 69 and go over it again but just am not in the mood. Tomorrow is our Cobra Social, so I will spend a good part of the day by the river.
Kristen,
How are the white letters on your tires doing after all the work you did to them? I have given up on ever having mine bright again. Nothing that I can get around here seems to last more than a day or so at most.
Tru,
Well I noticed you saved the easiest for the last. The two new front tires.

The problem is I can only use the alternator bracket from a 94 or 95 Mustang 5.0...no other year...Ford stopped making them, March does not make them, Concept One has them in their complete kit ($875.00), AND THE JUNK YARDS DO NOT HAVE THEM!! I may have found one on the Mustang Club site, waiting for an answer.

Earl,
If you can't find an alternator bracket like you need do what a friend of mine did. He went and made an out line of one on paper that was on another car and then went to a machine shop here and had them make him one out of steel. Then after he made sure it fit and the holes were ok, he had it chromed and it looks great. No one can tell it from an original one. I think the whole process including the chrome cost him around $100 dollars, but he has one that works great now.

Is it a two piece or one piece system?
If two piece, do you need the swing arm and/or the main bracket??
I have parts.
Brent, you have a new wife, aren't ya gonna spend some time with her???

Not much to work on on the Cobra. Will be working on another car project though. Need to get the fuel tank striped and primed and clean out the oil tank before mounting the motor and transmission. That reminds me, I need to get some metric bolts since the studs are missing from the block.

Earl
Check the 88-89 5.0 brackets they are easier to come by and look great as weel. Some are aluminum and polish up real nice.
The aluminum ones and the steel ones are very different so be sure to asf for the aluminum ones. The local ford house may be able to order you one from back stock.
