Hmm. I only show 114 pages.

Ron , we usually are dusty here and when it rains most people don't realize how slippery the mud on top of the pavement is!

Three thunderstorms in the past seven days. The high alkali in the soil doesn't let it soak in very much. But the grass is GREEN!

well I didn't get a pic of the way the girl 'fixed' it. Very straight, very flat, very short. I don't know who to compare it to.....

Today I fixed it, and it looks pretty regular for me, just shorter. I got out the flat iron thingy and tried to straighten it like the girl did.... I need two more hands out the back!

Got the top and sides flatter.... who cares, it's just plain ol hair. A little bit 'blonder' tho'....

So sorry, no pics.....

we get a chance of huge thunderstorms every afternoon. Sometimes they hit, sometimes they're around us. We could use a nice steady rain.

Trying to scrapbook today. With 7 kids here, tho', it just ain't working. We completely rearranged the 'crop room' so we could accommodate 12 croppers tonight. Swept, dusted, now gonna clean the bathroom, while Julia goes to get lunch for all of us.

Maybe I'll get 2 whole pages done for the day.

The hoodlums are driving me crazy. i wish my hubby would move away. Not get divorced, just leave! He messes up everything. He can move back to Terrell, where his family lives. Come visit every now and then, and then we'll visit on Monday's.... (piano and scouts in terrell)

gotta go clean. How fun.

Maybe it looks like 'davey' from the monkeeeees???

And here I was picturing a blonde Vulcan.

We usually don't get rain but a few times a year being in the desert. One storm brought us more rain than the yearly average.

Janine Turner and Jolene Blalock make short hair work. I suppose the CG/DQ/DH now looks more like the younger daughter?

Brent, pretty good.... I had to think.... cobra goddess..... got that one,...... DQ...hmmmm, oh yeah, Drag Queen..... but what in the world did I do for DH?? Finally remembered...... you forgot one.... something like IM???? what was that Ron??? "ignore moderator" or something like that...

I really like Janine Turner. Don't know Jolene Blalock. Looking like the younger daughter??? hmmmm I guess in hair color- she's more blonde, the other is straight redhead! with a stubborn hard temper to go with it!

Busted day. Fun for the most part, but not very productive. And all those people coming tomorrow- ooh, it's 1:30 - guess they're coming today!

Had a church youth function this evening. got home about 10. Had 8 ladies in the workshop, scrapbooking away. I did nothing but sort thru a few pics. Colleen did make it by.... (Mrs. 66 snake)

Her hubby has a bada$$ Lone Star. Makes me jump everytime I walk by it..... He went flying by me on the highway once, and man, about blew the doors off my car! Colleen prefers to ride with me..... (sometimes)

gnite.

Brent,

We won't see anything green here until the rains start again in November if they start then. I had forgotten about the high alkali content of the soil down there. If you like watching fun, then come up here and watch when we get the first little bit of snow that is just enough to cover the highway. I have seen as high as 60 vehicles in ditches between here and Redding alone and that is off the I-5 freeway. And that mud can be slick. Only time I have slid off the road was here after a very heavy rain and i went around a corner at about 25 miles and hour and there must have been 2" of muddy ozze on the road. The car just slowly slid down the slope of the road to the shoulder where it stopped and I managed to ease my way through that mess.

Kristen,

You have got to post a picture of your new hair do. Then we can use our imaginations to figure out what it looked like before you fixed it.

Ron

Gee Earl,

Looks as if I broke your string of getting to start a new page. Sorry.

hey, GR, thanks for the compliment.... I wish I did have some nice pottery pieces.... Actually, that platter (and another one over the fireplace) was made at the art department in school by my kids and a couple of others as a project. we have a wonderful art instructor, who also happens to be a friend. She comes up with the best projects that look really nice.

Yeah, Ron, the youngest is my sweetie. The other 3 are great; the redhead has an unbelievable future ahead of her; but the little one.... she is full of life and gettting a sense of humor, and is easy going, and very kind and still 'helpful' --- a fun kid to be around! She has lots of friends, and gets along with everyone. Redhead girl can be very standoffish, and if she gets 'moody', then her friends will go play with the easy one! I wish Peter had been here, but off to a party.
My sorority sisters are a really good bunch. To still get together a couple of times a year is truly amazing. Even with 6 girls(women), and 14? kids, we try to get it done! The husbands have to get along, cuz they come with the package!
We've all been married 18-22 years- and none of us have divorced, etc. 3 are teachers, and 2 of the other 3 own their own business. What do they say about like kind likes like kind?? We are all hard workers, and very busy.
I wouldn't hang around with anybody that wasn't busy. I just don't respect folks that 'do nothing'. hmmm. made me think of something.

well, everybody have a great day. Guess we might actually be making it to church today. Then celebrating father in laws' bday this evening. Means I gotta go shopping.... (for covered dish; already got the present!)

Have a great day!
K
