Kristen,
It is great that you can get together with your sorority sisters a couple of times a year. I don't have a chance to get together with any of my old crowd because they are strung all over the country and most of us have lost touch with each other. Besides, I had rather they remember me as a younger person with hair.
The whole Texas bunch seems like a great group. Guess that comes from living in a state that can be independant.
Have a great day.

I thought it was you too Steve. Just kidding. Did you every find some high schooler to be your webmaster? If I didn't have school four nights a week coming up I would help you out.

Tru,
Guess I am just dumb but what was the post with just This... in it referring to? I seem to be the only one that couldn't figure it out.
Steve,
If you want to verify if it is your computer or the sites server just go to another site and see if you are still having troubles. I noticed an intermittant problem when I first logged on this morning but figured it would be taken care of so never reported it.
Brent,
Good to see you back. Did you have any of the hard rain at your place the TV was reporting yesterday? We still haven't had any of those below 100 days yet that they keep saying we will have. But it has stayed below 105 and that is like Winter.

The rain was hard enough we lost the signal for Dish Network a few minutes.
Had a nice lazy/busy weekend if that makes sense. We have had one day in August that was under 100*. We are usually happy if it is under 120*.

My week end didn't amount to much. I have the replica torn apart and am ready to pull the transmission when Jack can get over to hold it while I remove the last bolts. I have all of the other bolts loose and it shouldn't take to long to get the clutch out. The ramps are perfect for working on stuff like this but just a little to high for me to lay under the tranny and hold it while I remove the last bolts. Once the clutch is out and I can verify that I have the correct number written down, I will order a newer one that is more of an all out racing clutch. This one has lasted well as I put it in back in 1997.
Well if you have already had a day in August under 100, you are ahead of us. Normally this is about our hottest month also but it has really cooled down. Have to enjoy this cool weather before the next heat wave hits.

Ron, I think tru was REMOVING his racing clutch; rough at low rpm's, and off a slow start. (lights and such). He would probably recommend AGAINST a racing clutch for you, with ordinary street driving.
Tru??
crab grass?? dunno.

Brent
Pull some of it up and take it to Home depot and show the folks at the outdoor area. Or you could look it up on the web.
Home depot sells weed kiiler for both just make sure to get the right kind if you want to keep the good grass. Some will kill bermuda and some will kill the st augustine as well as the undesirable grass. You may be better off waiting till next year and putting out a pre-emergent weed killer. It will work better for you.
As for the webmaster.............. uh well the site is coming along real well. Hopefully soon will be public. cross your fingers for me

I am not going to Home Depot. It is hotter inside there than it is outside because they are running only 5 of their 23 A/C units.
We do have a local hardware store that I will stop in and see what they have. Not sure if a pre-emerge will work since we don't have a frost here. I don't know that I would care if it killed the St. Augustine since the Bermuda is overtaking it anyway (and looks fuller to boot).
It was really hard to type this with my fingers crossed by the way.

Thanks Brent
You know we went into Walmart earlier tday and it was 86* inside the store. I asked a clerk if the a/c was broken. She said that they recieved and eletric bill that was eight times more than budgeted for the month so they have to suffer until the budget gets back in line. It could be for the rest of the year.
We also heard on the news that no one would be able to heat thier home this winter as the natural gas is expected to be about twenty two times higher than it is right now, compounded. That means it will cost about $2,400.00 a month to heat out home this winter at 76* if the temp is less than 32* for any twenty five days in the same billing period.
It never seems to end does it.

Yea but if you don't have a freeze i don't know if it will work. I would "guess" that it should "if" the plant goes dormant for any period of time during the winter months.
