You know what it is like just before Christmas with the kids getting anxious to open and play with their new toys...

Well.. I see Kristen jumping up and down asking can she have it to play with..where's my new car..

She is getting excited and would be more so if she knew that they are delivering it to me first to break in.

By the way, congratulations on the new home. I have been reading the thread and looking at the pictures and after you get the modifications you want done you are going to have a really beautiful place.

Farmer John lived on a quiet rural highway.
But, as time went by, the traffic slowly built up at an alarming rate.
The traffic was so heavy and so fast that his chickens were being run over at a rate of three to six a day.

So one day Farmer John called the sheriff's office and said, "You've got to do something about all of these people driving so fast and killing all of
my chickens."

"What do you want me to do?" asked the sheriff. "I don't care, just do something about those crazy drivers!"

So the next day he had the county workers go out and erected a sign that said:

SLOW:

SCHOOL CROSSING

Three days later Farmer John called the sheriff and said, "You've got to do something about these drivers. The 'school crossing' sign seems to make them go even faster."

So, again, the sheriff sends out the county workers and they put up a new sign:

CHILDREN AT PLAY

That really sped them up. So Farmer John called and called and called every day for three weeks. Finally, he asked the sheriff, "Your signs are
doing no good. Can I put up my own sign?"

The sheriff told him, "Sure thing, put up your own sign." He was going to let the Farmer John do just about anything in order to get him to stop calling
everyday to complain.

The sheriff got no more calls from Farmer John. Three weeks later, curiosity go the best of the sheriff and he decided to give Farmer John a call. "How's the problem with those drivers. Did you put up your sign?" "Oh, I sure did. And not one chicken has been killed since then. I've got to go. I'm very busy."

He hung up the phone. The sheriff was really curious now and he thought to himself, "I'd better go out there and take a look at that sign... it might be something that WE could use to slow down drivers..."

So the sheriff drove out to Farmer John's house, and his jaw dropped the moment he saw the sign. It was spray-painted on a sheet of wood:

Go slow and watch out for chicks!!

I can not do Run & Gun, spent all pf my money hunting ( see the Texas Boar hunt thread on CC ).

I have been trying to get time enough to make trips about in the Cobra, but work is demanding.

So, how is the business in Aussie Land??

I take it you are coming to the states for a visit??? Truely?

I thought that as long as it has been since you posted maybe she was chasing you across Texas trying to get it away from you. She is probably busy. You know all the bribes and stuff so she can sleep on the Dealers floor until it comes.

I think she may be getting a little frustrated on the wait.I would be.
Kristen just needs to understand the 'break in' and 'testing' is taking me longer than I first thought.

I do check out the neighborhood VERY CAREFULLY now before I pull out in the GT-500.I might be getting paranoid.

I think you should send it out to me for a week or so to break in on the mountain roads before giving it to Kristen. As for the wait, I can understand that. I went through it when I ordered my 69 Cobra. Just four weeks was what I was told and it took almost 8 weeks before I got it.
Maybe you should get a picture of it that she has posted and cut it and paste it into one of somewhere you are driving it. That would ease her mind about the wait.

Here is a trick I may have to use if she catches me.

Subject: Grandmother

A sweet grandmother telephoned St. Joseph 's Hospital. She timidly asked, "Is it possible to speak to someone who can tell me how a patient is doing?"
The operator said "I'll be glad to help, Dear. What's the name and room number?"

The grandmother in her weak tremulous voice said, "Norma Findlay, Room 302."

The Operator replied, "Let me place you on hold while I check with her nurse." After a few minutes the Operator returned to the phone, "Oh, Good news. Her nurse has told me that Norma is doing very well. Her blood pressure is fine; her blood work just came back as normal and her Physician, Dr. Cohen, has scheduled her to be discharged Tuesday."

The Grandmother said, "Thank you. That's wonderful! I was so worried! God bless you for the good news."

The operator replied, "You're more than welcome. Is Norma your daughter?"

The Grandmother said, "No, I'm Norma Findlay in 302. No one tells me $hit.
