Ron, so, are you a collector or just fancy a few??

Yes, kids...it is snowing!

trularin 04-04-2007 04:23 PM

Holey COW!

Coyote entered a Quiznos in DOWNTOWN Chicago.

It is on CNN.

hey,littlecobra 04-04-2007 07:13 PM

thanks, Mike, and yes, I got a couple of emails from forums.
Pretty nice!!! :D

Ron61 04-04-2007 10:43 PM

Tru,

I kind of collect cars, but have stopped getting the really cheap ones. I buy maybe one or two a year now as I look for the well made and detailed ones. The ones like Kristen got me are very collectible and will be worth millions in a few hundred thousand years. Shelby eat your heart out.

Fred,

Anyone that goes around kissing a French Frog with a long tongue deserves nothing but a hard time. Just wait until you try to slip Frenchy into her new Gt-500. :D

Ron

Good website !

I have some special valve covers that I haven't been able to install because of 1 indention on each cover is too small to allow a wrench/socket to fit to tighten the hex head bolt.

Found the allen head bolts that will work !:D

trularin 04-05-2007 02:23 PM

I will be swapping out hex button head steel for Stainless on a few areas of the Cobra. May use this company, they seem to have a selection.

:D

Tru
I just put in my first order for about $60 this afternoon. I also ordered some of the SS button head allen screws. I think I'll use the Spinner Eaze from Cobra Valley rather than the black neversieze on the SS threads. Certainly do not want any galling in the aluminum!

trularin 04-05-2007 06:44 PM

I use the "black" screws, the ones that look parkerized. Well, they show signs of wanting to rust, so I will be swapping them out for SS. I used grade 8 on most of the car that needed strength. The rest is SS.

Cut all of the header bolts out of SS on my lathe.

Well I had to have Teddy put to sleep Thursday morning and I have really been feeling depressed. He just got to the point he couldn't get around and was hurting so bad I couldn't stand to watch him suffer any more. I think part of it was triggered by his missing Sherry as it hasn't even been 5 months since I had to have her put away. Teddy would have been 10 years old next month. So after spending three nights up trying to help him with all the pain, I just felt I had no choice as none of the tests showed anything and none of the medications were helping at all. The last 5 months have been the hardest of my life and that is counting when I was in the hospital from the breakdown.

Ron :(

hey,littlecobra 04-07-2007 11:16 AM

aw, so sorry, Ron. :(

our hearts break when we have to put our pets to sleep. tragic....

trularin 04-07-2007 01:23 PM

Aw geez Ron, I am sorry to hear of your loss.

TampaFla 04-07-2007 01:43 PM

Ron, keep the faith. Remember your friends (2 and 4 legged), forget everyone else...

392cobra 04-07-2007 02:31 PM

Very sorry to read this Ron.:(

We are all thinking about you.

wtm442 04-07-2007 02:49 PM

Sorry to hear the bad news. He is in puppy heaven right now with Sherry and they are both wagging their tails. Losing one dog is bad, but losing two within 6 months is really tough.

Things will get better, I promise!

One of your two legged friends ....

Ron61 04-07-2007 04:09 PM

:)

Thanks for the kind words everyone. If I can just get through this depression and make it for a week or so, I think I will slowly recover. Also not helping was the fact that I don't like taking medicine and instead of the 6 to 12 nerve pills a day I am supposed to take I had cut it to 3 or 4 for the past year and the last couple of months I have been having big blank spells that I don't remember anything. Anyway the blood tests showed no medication in my blood and now I find I was on the edge of another massive breakdown. God has to be very caring for fools. I am now taking the prescribed amount, but nothing will ever replace the emptiness I feel. So for a while if my posts seem even more messed up than normal. bear with me until I get enough medicine in me to get my mind back working half way. I figure I should have my IQ back up into the high 20s in a week or so. :JEKYLHYDE

Ron

trularin 04-07-2007 06:11 PM

Ron, it is a comedy routine at best. :D :D :D

BigGuy 04-07-2007 06:52 PM

Ron - hang in there......things will get better!

Your in our thoughts and prayers.

Have a Happy Easter!

Take care

LMAO
In that case, you will have to join my group of esteemed friends with exceptionally high IQ's (The Mental Mensors). So far its just me, Fred, Frenchy and Turtle. Tru would like to join, but we won't let him in with that wolf he owns ... way too dangerous for Frogs and Turtles.
