I got my answer directly from Tru, and I'm never going to tell you! I did tell Turtle, though.

Love This Comeback
One of my sons serves in the military. He is still stateside, here in
California . He called me yesterday to let me know how warm and
welcoming people were to him, and his troops, everywhere he goes, telling me how people shake their hands, and thank them for being willing to serve, and fight, for not only our own freedoms but so that others may have them also.
But he also told me about an incident in the grocery store he stopped at
yesterday, on his way home from the base. He said that ahead of several
people in front of him stood a woman dressed in a burkha.
He said when she got to the cashier she loudly remarked about the U.S.
flag lapel pin the cashier wore on her smock. The cashier reached up and
touched the pin, and said proudly," Yes, I always wear it and probably
always will."
The woman in the burkha then asked the cashier when she was going to
stop bombing her countrymen, explaining that she was Iraqi.
A gentleman standing behind my son stepped forward, putting his arm
around my son's shoulders, and nodding towards my son, said in a calm and
gentle voice to the Iraqi woman:
"Lady, hundreds of thousands of men and women like this young man have
fought and died so that YOU could stand here, in MY country and accuse a
check-out cashier of bombing YOUR countrymen. It is my belief that had you
been this outspoken in YOUR own country, we wouldn't need to be there
today.
But, hey, if you have now learned how to speak out so loudly and clearly,
I'll gladly buy you a ticket and pay your way back to Iraq so you can
straighten out the mess in YOUR country that you are obviously here in MY
country to avoid."
Everyone within hearing distance cheered!

I read that same story in an e-mail a couple of years ago. Its a great story. Many people wonder if its a true story, but no matter. I just love the comeback.

Warren,
There is a lot of friction in this area right now between certain ethnic groups. One gas station had to close down and the owner and his family left because of some of the extremists around here. Since most of them are from another area, I hope they will move on quickly. There are enough real problems here that need to be dealt with without those traveling freaks come in in and stirring things up and then leaving.

Ron, maybe you should be selective about where you go. No sense being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Keep the faith.

Warren,
I am very selective the past few days. I have mowed and used the weed eater the past two days and just finished all that about 20 minutes ago. Now we are supposed to have showers tomorrow so I can do it all over.
As for the rabble rousers they have all left but one and the cops are hunting him as he stabbed a guy over on the other side of the Boulevard. I guess he missed the ride out with the others. Last I heard from one of our deputies they were headed North. Oregon, YEA !!!
And I spend a lot of time on the graves. As soon as I receive Teddy's marker I will put it up and then I will have all three of them looking nice. Boy, do I ever miss the babies. I also have gotten enough of my nerve medicine into me that it is now showing up in the blood and that is helping. I never realized that I had cut it so low the past year that hardly any of it was getting into my blood stream. I just hate taking medicine, but now I am doomed to the 6/10 pills a day.
And since I no longer am a member of the elite group of Cobra owners, I am thinking of getting another puppy. I want another black Pom if I do get one, but it will be a while yet as I am still not over all that has happened in the past 5 months.

Ron,
Good to see you are back taking the correct dosage.
What differences have you noticed as the meds work themselves up to the right level in your blood stream ?
Your a smart guy but I hope you fully understand now you can't just up and lower your dosages on your own.

Fred,
The major differences is I don't have all of the blank spells and I feel more in control. For months I have had parts of every day that I don't remember and I always felt as if I was about to just fly all to pieces. Now I can actually walk around and not feel as if I am not in control of where I am going. It is really hard to explain, but I guess I was just on the edge of another major breakdown. And that would have been it. I actually drove to Redding today and felt as if I was driving the car instead of just being along for the ride. Went by my vets and talked to the girls and told them after things settle down and I get over some of the hurt, I may want to get another little Pom, so they said they would talk to some people for me when I feel I am ready.
I also just talked to my cousin's wife in Arkansas and the weather there is cold and wet and she said he was having a fit as there is a car show over in Branson next weekend and he wants to drive it over there. She also said they had people they hadn't seen in years suddenly show up to see how they were and then want to look at the car.

Gotta keep taking them pills. I only have to take one a day, but the effect of the medication takes about 6 to 8 weeks to get totally into my system. I was really surprised when my doctor told me that. I'd feel really good for a few weeks and sometimes I miss taking the pill for 3 or 4 days, but it would catch up to me a few weeks later. I learned my lesson.
On the other hand, my older sister takes about 25 pills a day!

Went to the "VA" this morning, all morning.Go in every 6 months for bloodwork.Today was the BIG one, once a year they half drain me and test for everything you can test for with blood.
For the past two weeks I've been pretty careful about what I eat so the Dr. doesn't completely freak out.
Lucked out Tests weren't in by the time I saw her.
Looking like a pizza kind of night !

I have to go in next month I think it is for my yearly drain all the blood tests. I don't like those things. Feel week for a few hours after watching the gallon jug fill up.
Warren,
This was my first try and last one to get off the medicine. It is hard to believe just how bad I had gotten and I never ever realized it. Now I carry about 5 of them with me at all times.

Darn, I am glad that I finished the yards and all that yesterday as it is raining now and is supposed to rain all day and part of tomorrow. The partly cloudy Thursday and rain again Saturday. Those weeds that I cut must be laughing now.

Tru,
Actually we need the rain. It is dry, dusty, and the pollen is flying like mad. This gives me an excuse for not doing much of anything also.

You need an excuse for goofing off and doing NOTHING?????
I always thought it was an integral benefit with retirement!
So far today I've had 2 meals, a nap and watched TV. Maybe I'll do some work on the Cobra this afternoon, but I do not want to rush anything ....

Warren,
It is cold and just wet and dreary here. No hard rain but enough to keep me inside. And if the forecast is correct, it will be like this right on through the weekend. I should go fill the car with gas but after getting the gas yesterday for the mowers and it costing me over $16 dollars, I am afraid to fill the car.

Sunny and 48 °F here, but we are supposed to get snow tonight and tomorrow. Extended forecast is for temps of 47 °F max over the next 10 days with 8 days of showers and two cloudy days!
Maybe I'll get my flowers in the ground next month.
I should have followed your lead about goofin' off. Just spent the last 4 hours polishing my valve covers. What fun! Had to wash my hands 3 times before I took a shower!
