OH BTW:
I got my little deal through P&Z last night. It was just goingthrough the motions. Now I just have to get it put together, and quickly.

I remember a lot of those comments. Does that make me older than dirt?
Steve
Nice talking with you. Regarding my videos on You Tube, I have them all linked in a thread in the New England club section. There is also a discussion on the equipment.

You mentioned "Back to the sunsets - guess I live in the right place for those - have seen them from nearly all the islands. Great views."
Well, where are the pictures? I only see 2 pics in your gallery.
Tru - is your Cobra still running? Got to fill up all those rides before the snow flies. Where is the pic of the yellow engine with yellow carb ...

Warren,
You as well.
Isn't it interesting that we have not used the "Ignor" Thread since 2-20-2006 and it is still the 5th most viewed thread on CC. This one being the fourth most viewed.

8. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't have the

Warren,
Good one. What a day I am having. Tomorrow I have to take Sweetheart in and leave her so they can pull her baby teeth as they haven't came out and the next ones are trying to come in, so she is gnawing everything in the house to pieces. Then about 15 minutes ago I went in and got a drink of water and felt something in my mouth, so decided to spit the water out instead of swallowing it and there was one of the gold crowns that had fallen off one of my teeth. Now I have to go down to my dentist at 3:45 and see if he can fasten it back in. This is beginning to really get my nerves in a mess. I think these crowns were put in back when Gold was considered no good for much, so they are getting kind of aged.

Hey Ron,
Sell the Gold filling pay for the repairs on your teeth and negotiate a discount of the veneer.

I put the car up for storage, can not afford to pay the insurance to drive it right now.
But, thanks for asking. I might get a pic in of the engine and carb.

Spent another 2 hours cleaning the Cobra today. Can't believe how dirty everything was from the Car Show. But I did go for another ride. After about an hour, the temp got down to about 65°F and the clouds started to cover up the sun. So I cut the ride short. It was getting a little too cool for shorts. I did not even get a photo from the drive.
So I took one in the driveway. If you look really close, you can see Turtle lurking in the background, just waiting for errant frogs to hop his way.

Warren,
Your place is really nice. Looks almost like a post card picture. Wish I had your Cobra. Just keep it nice and clean. Took me a minute to spot turtle though.

Hey Warren
Is that a vacant lot next to your house? Might be a good investment right now.

Ron - thanks. It's amazing what a couple of hundred dollars worth of annuals can do. Maybe I'll try growing the impatiens and marigolds from seed next year. You only see about a third of the plants in my yard.
Steve - I have tried to buy a couple of times, but no dice. I'd love to have it so I could put up a big garage. But it is attached to my neighbor's yard who lives on the street behind me. They use it for a very small garden ... but they always have had 2 or 3 dogs ... so it's their back yard doggie run. Its probably one of about 5 build-able lots on the peninsula, so it would be expensive. It's 50 by 100 feet and valued at $225K for tax purposes, so it would probably take some serious cash to buy it if the owner wanted to sell.

I'm sorry, but after hearing they want
to sing OUR National Anthem in Spanish - enough is enough!
NEVER did they sing it in Italian,
Japanese, Polish, Irish-Celtic, German, Portuguese, Greek, French, or any other language because of immigration.
It was written by Francis Scott Key and should be sung word for word the way it was written. The news broadcasts
gave a translation that's NOT even close.
Sorry if this offends anyone, but,
THIS IS MY COUNTRY!
Do YOU - sing MY
National Anthem in YOUR COUNTRY
IN ENGLISH ? ? ?
And, because I make this statement
DOES NOT mean I'm against immigration!!!
YOU ARE WELCOME HERE IN MY COUNTRY.
Welcome to come through like
everyone else has.
Get a sponsor !
Get a place to lay your head !
Get a job !
Live by OUR rules !
Pay YOUR taxes !
And
LEARN THE LANGUAGE
LIKE ALL OTHER IMMIGRANTS HAVE IN THE PAST!!!
AND PLEASE DON'T DEMAND THAT WE HAND OVER OUR LIFETIME SAVINGS OF SOCIAL SECURITY FUNDS TO YOU TO MAKE UP FOR ''YOUR'' LOSSES.
When will AMERICAN'S STOP giving away THEIR RIGHTS???
We've gone so far the other way,
bent over backwards not to
offend anyone.
But it seems no one cares about the AMERICAN
that's being offended!
WAKE UP America!!!

Whenever I hear "Press 1 for English", I always press 0. That gets you to a live English speaking person about 85% of the time, rather than pressing 27 different buttons and listening to 1 minute speeches about how virtually all of the worlds problems can be fixed on their web site!
Well, its 77°F outside, sunny and low humidity. Guess I'll have to go burn some of that $45 worth of gas I put in the Cobra yesterday! I cannot stand a full gas tank. It's un-American! Press 1 for Cobra Lovers.
Beam me up Scottie, time for my pills!

I had a very funny experience today. This is so funny.
I called Home Depot and they asked me (in person) if I needed to speak to a Spanish speaking person. Heck I don't speak Spanish. It really chapped my butt. I thought for a moment and said nothing.
Next thing I know there is a lady on the phone speaking to me in Spanish. I was boiling. I started speaking to her in Vietnamese. Man was it funny. She kept asking "Que" Que" "What" What" I can't understand you. I kept it up and I started acting like I was mad. I wanted something and she had no idea what it was.
Here is the kicker. I don't speak vietnamese.
After a few minutes I asked in very clear English...
I need the lumber department please.

Good one Steve!
I have done the same thing here, only use Pilapino Da Kine.
Our river is a bit wide for swimmers and they watch the boats closely.
