Yea, their Earthquake movies are not well done at all. I have seen three that were shot in this area with Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen and none of them ever remotely resembled what happens in an earthquake. No Earthquake lasts for 20 minutes like their movie ones does. And in one they had a crack in the ground following a train out of Redding for almost 10 miles winding around the curves the track took before it caught the train. Then as soon as it caught up and the train fell in, the crack stopped immediately. They have shot a lot of movie scenes in this area, some of the Clint Eastwood and Audie Murphey movies had scenes shot here. Also some military scenes that were supposedly in a foreighn country were shot over by the dam back before 9-11. No wonder people who watch these movies think Earthquakes are so bad. I will take one of them any day over a hurricane or tornado. I have been through all three, and believe me I was far more scared in the Hurricane as it did seem to last forever and I was in an underground shelter.

Well, guys, we have a trophy. We got the peoples choice trophy at the car show.
With three Fords and a boat load of GM product, I was amazed I got anything.
Cool and overcast here. Fixed one tractor, the other ones are in need.

Tru,
Congratulations on the trophy. Still raining and cool here and the forecast says more of the same until Wednesday. Oh well, my weeds can now grow like mad again until I get them mowed.

Good thumb nail of the 69.
I'm amazed I was able to represent the Ford with so many GM products surrounding me.
I wonder what's cooking at HLC's tonight.

Tru,
I think we should ask Kristen to cook a big dinner for all of us. After all, she has so much free time.

Love more HP
Went up two jet sizes on the primaries ... big difference.
The second gear rubber is much louder now
Have to change that stupid secondary plate. Wish Holley put metering block in all secondaries. I can't find my tool to remove the plate ... what a bummer
Got to go for another ride tomorrow after I bump up the jets another notch

Warren,
Sounds as if you are getting your carb adjusted in. We are still having light rain, but I love these 65 degree cold days. Forecast for Wednesday is going back into the 100s and then it will just keep going up I fear.
Watch that 2nd gear rubber. It will get you a big ticket out here. In fact just a chirp of the tires will get you written up for a speed contest. I got stopped a couple of years ago going into one of the big parking lots in Redding because my tires chirped as I went over the concrete entrance. The cop finally admitted I wasn't doing anything wrong and that he barely heard the chirp and only because he was looking at the car. That was my closest to getting a ticket and I was doing all of 5 miles an hour. Can you imagine going in to pay $275 dollars for a speeding contest ticket and the speed is 5 MPH.

Not around here Fred. Any public parking lot is fair game. Anyway I didn't get the ticket so I was happy and it was really a stretch for him to even claim I chirped the tires. Almost every car that enters that particular entry chirps the tires as it is a short turn and rather slick concrete. In fact it is in the process of being torn out and replaced with a new and wider entrance and no turn because of accidents there.

Yes, I have the stupid Holley Bow tie shaped screws in the secondary plate. Of course, I found 3 old plates, and they are all smaller
.... but still cannot find special tool ... bummer

Only 54 ºF outside and cloudy. Slight chance of rain.
I know how to cheer things up ... I think I'll make a corned beef dinner for supper. No PNB&J in this house for dinner ....
Saw a boat with a great name yesterday .. made a good backdrop for a pic ....
